A National No Child Left Behind Blue Ribbon School
Our AccomplishmentsOur Accomplishments
The Academic Excellence Award recognized 388 schools that had sustained very high academic performance over at least three years. Some of these schools often received national recognitions placing them among the nation's most outstanding.
The Bright Red Apple Award is based on five factors: academic performance, student-teacher ratio, expenditure per student, educational level of teachers, and average teacher salary. Only 81 Illinois school districts (out of 868 school districts) were honored with the award for striving to provide their students with an outstanding educational environment.
