Schedule of Events

The following exhibits will be available during the entirety of the Future of Learning NOW event, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.:• The Science of Toys and Games - Explore the sci-

ence behind some of our favorite toys and games. • Breakout with Math - AP Calculus and BC Cal-

culus students will demonstrate how they applied BreakoutEDU kits to the math classroom.

• Sketch It! Play It! - See how elementary students combine technology, engineering and invention to make art with Makey Makeys.

• Camp Invention - Learn about HTSD”s Camp In-vention program, where children are presented with fun, hands-on challenges that encourage creative problem-solving, teamwork, entrepreneurship and innovation.

• K’nex and JASON Learning - See how HMS sci-ence is using K’nex and JASON Learning to gain insight and understanding in STEAM topics and ca-reers through real-world, hands-on, inquiry-based lessons, virtual labs, games and other activities.

• Assistive Technology - See what elementary stu-dents learned from a rehabilitation scientist at the University of Pittsburgh’s Human Engineering Re-search Laboratories and explore the technology that inspired them.

• AP Research Presentations - Learn about the rig-orous academic research carried out by students in the AP Research course at HHS.

• Human-Centered Design Challenge - Students apply Design Thinking concepts and strategies to solve real-world challenges.

Special Presentation:• HTSD Digital Transformation - From 7:30 to 8:15

p.m. in the Auditorium, Hampton Superintendent Dr. Michael Loughead will provide an overview of the digital transformation taking place in the District. Technology Director Mr. Ed McKaveney, and Curriculum Director Dr. Jacquelyn Removcik, also will present, along with teachers Mrs. Barbara Landry, Mrs. Shanna Struble and Mrs. Kate Powell.
