Iluminaciones VII

QUERÉTARO, MÉXICO

Iluminaciones VII es la segunda parte de la serie escrita por el premiado Hugo Alfredo Hinojosa que se concentra en el presente de México, la inmediatez de su autodestruc-ción y temas tales como la prostitución, la inmigración y el periodismo. El director de la obra, Alonso Barrera, es el director del Centro de Arte, Cultura y Diseño La Fábrica, espacio que él creó en Querétaro en 2004. 15 y 16 de octubre a las 21:00 horas (español con subtítulos en inglés)

Iluminaciones VII is the second in a series of plays by award-winning young Mexican playwright, Hugo Alfredo Hinojosa. In this piece, Hinojosa focuses on the present-day in Mexico, the immediacy of self-destruction and subjects such as prostitution, immigration and journalism.

¿Qué es Fringe?

Fringe Festival San Miguel de Allende 2013 es el primer festival de su tipo en la América Latina hispanohablante. El Fringe festival original (en Edimburgo) se ha convertido en el festival artístico más grande en el mundo; en 2012, fueron albergados 2,695 espectáculos en 279 sedes. Otros festivales Fringe han aparecido tanto en grandes ciudades –Nueva York, Chicago, Toronto- como en ciudades más pequeñas –Boulder, Praga, Dublin, Nueva Orleans. Cada festival es único aunque todos estén inspirados por una energía innovadora y sin inhibiciones así como la creatividad de sus participantes. Un festival Fringe se enfoca en ser incluyente y alcanzar nuevas audiencias.

What is Fringe?

Fringe Festival San Miguel de Allende 2013 will be the first Fringe festival in Spanish-speak-ing Latin America. The original Fringe festival (in Edinburgh) has blossomed into the larg-est arts festival in the world; in 2012, they hosted 2,695 shows in 279 venues. Fringe festivals have popped up in big cities – New York, Chicago, Toronto—and smaller ones—Boulder, Prague, Dublin, New Orleans. No two are the same, but all are inspired by innovative, uninhibited energy and creativity. Fringe is about being inclusive and reaching out to new audiences in new ways.
