Last weekend, the JGAA headed down to Tucson, AZ to host its annual Tucson Conquistadores Spring Classic at Silverbell, GC. Baling windy condions during the final round, JGAA members fought hard for their posion on the leaderboard. Congratulaons to the tournament Champions in each division! In the Championship divisions, this was Chris Meyers' second consecuve win this year. Morgan Messick, in the Girls Championship division is now a three (3) me winner of the Tucson Conquistadores Spring Classic. The JGAA would also like to say thank you to Silverbell GC, City of Tucson, and OB Sports for hosng the event this year! Plus a special thanks to the tournament's tle sponsor, the Tucson Conquistadores, for their connued support of the JGAA and junior golf over the years! The weekend of March 29-30, the JGAA held it's 15th annual Desert Mashie Spring Championship at Encanto 18 & 9 Golf Courses. With almost 200 junior golfers participating at this year's event, there was some great competition throughout the weekend. Winners of the event include: Chris Meyers (Boys Champ), Mikayla Fitzpatrick (Girls Champ), Steven Jordan (Boys 15-18), Megan Ohland (Girls 15-18), Brian Seo (Boys 13-14), Aleksia Mikalacki (Girls 13-14), Ben Lorenz (Boys 11-12), Ashley Menne (Girls 11-12), Anawin Pikulthong (Boys 10 & Under), and Raina Ports (Girls 10 & Under). The JGAA would also like to thank Harrold Fields and the rest of the Desert Mashie volunteers. The Desert Mashie Spring Championship has been run in conjunction with the Desert Mashies since 1990, and this year was no different. Thanks to all volunteers and the City of Phoenix for hosting the event at both Encanto Golf Courses.

March 15, 2014 the Boys Golf Club held its annual Shamrock Classic at Shalimar Country Club. This event had the most participants ithe Boys Golf Club has seen so far this year with almost 40 boys participating. Thank you to all of the parents and volunteers who came out to

support the event. The tournament couldn’t have gone on without you! Congratulations to the winners in each of the divisions!

Five (5) JGAA Members advanced to the Drive, Chip and Putt Championship held Sunday, April 6 at Augusta (Ga.) National Golf Club, in conjunction with the 2014 Masters: Raina Ports (Girls 7-9), Madeline Adam (Girls 10-11), Ashley Menne (Girls 12-13), Caden Christopherson (Boys 12-13), Juan Contreras (Boys 14-15). See how our juniors finished in the Drive, Chip and Putt National Championship by CLICKING HERE. Registration for next year's Drive, Chip and Putt Championship is NOW OPEN! Local qualifying will be conducted in all 50 states. Registrations will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis, so we encourage you to register your junior golfer as soon as possible.

Forest Highlands Golf Club in Flagstaff will be hosting the 2014 U.S. Girls' Junior Championship, July 21-26. The 66th U.S. Girls' Junior Championship will be the third USGA Championship held at Forest Highlands.

There are many opportunities for juniors and parents to volunteer at the 66th U.S. Girls' Junior Championship, ranging from on-course marshals, forecaddies to player registration. For complete

2014 U.S. Girls’ Junior Championship Hosted by Forest Highlands

JGAA Rules Clinic Schedule The JGAA now has its Rules Clinic schedule posted and available for registration. The 2014 JGAA Rules Clinics are mandatory for all members in all age groups who intend to play in any JGAA Summer events (i.e. Any event after June 3, 2014). Please do not procrastinate in registering for rules clinics, as there are only a limited number of clinics available. JGAA members will also be required to take and pass an online Rules Quiz before they will be allowed to participate in any JGAA Summer events. Rules quizzes will not be given at the rules clinics. Quizzes may only be taken and graded online. The rules clinic and quiz must be completed and passed prior to June 3, 2014. Failure to pass the quiz with an acceptable score will prevent you from participating in any JGAA tournaments.
