it’s often referred to as the golf ’s finest spectator event and for those that have been will already know why. The first and for most the best major of the year held on augusta’s hallowed grounds is an outstanding experience and travelling with the club looks to enhance this further! our masters offering includes exclusive use of luxurious private homes (four to eight people) all within 12 minutes of the course. in addition to access to the event each day and golf organised on numerous local courses, we will gather in a relaxed style each night at one house to share stories and enjoy each others company. The option to dine with the group or have your own private chef cater to your every need is yours for the asking. four-day packages include tickets to the event and the option of four to eight bedroom homes. prices start from $5,600 per person. anyone who is interested to attend needs to register urgently as we will only be buying packages for those that indicate they would like to attend.

The alternative ryder cup, (usa v uK & Europe), st andrews: 14th-15th may 2011

Just like our professional counterparts, this by-invitation ryder cup event engages two teams captained by two of the club’s more experienced campaigners. The united states team will once again take on 12 members and guests from the uK, ireland and Europe. This three day, 90-hole event combines four-ball and greensomes’ matches with a final day of singles’ matches - this is where history and reputations are made!

The first days play witnesses two matches: 18 holes in the morning of best-ball on Kingsbarns and 18 holes in the afternoon of greensomes on the new course which is repeated on day two on Kingsbarns and the Jubilee course. The final days singles’ matches will be held on the old course!Three fine evening engagements at pittormie castle shared with playing partners and competitors alike make this intimate event a magical experience! The uK and Europe team are currently 2-0 up on the american members – will 2011 become the first three-peat?

back to back victories from the rest of the World team have left the united states team searching for their first victory in the alternative presidents cup! Just like our professional counterparts in the presidents cup, there are two teams of 12 competitors. one team from the usa will take on a team from the rest of the World (excluding uK, ireland and Europe) which typically has a strong representation from canada. This three day, 90-hole event combines four-ball and greensomes’ matches over the first two days with a final day of singles’ matches. The five rounds will be played on the new course, Jubilee and two rounds on Kingsbarns before the singles matches on the old course! as well as friendships, this is where reputations are made! Three fine evening engagements at pittormie castle, shared with playing partners and competitors alike, make this intimate event a magical experience!

The alternative presidents cup (usa v rotW), st andrews: 20th-22nd may 2011


This summer join us on the beautiful italian island of sardinia in the heart of the mediterranean,in pevero for our 2011 summer couples retreat. considered by many to be the finest summerplayground in Europe the area of costa smeralda is famous for its white sandy beaches andsparkling turquoise sea. built by the aga Khan in the 1960s this truly luxurious and unspoiltsetting offers discerning golf enthusiasts an unrivalled setting with two beautiful coastalcourses. The pevero golf course is just minutes from the hotel, while the spectacular sperone (ranked in golf World top 100) sits on the cliffs of the neighbouring french island of corsica where we will take a boat for the day (2 hour cruise each way). With 36 holes on pevero and 18 holes on sperone this 54-hole three day competition will be one of the finest European retreats on the Eden club roster. starwood’s luxury collection of hotels The cala di volpe and the romazzino will play home for the duration of our stay, while a beach barbeque, dinner in town and prize giving dinner overlooking the sea will provide three wonderful evenings. non playing spouses will have an abundance of activities to enjoy during the day which includes joining the group on our cruise to corsica to look round this beautiful island.

This June twenty-one countries from all over the world will once again make their way to st andrews, scotland to participate in the World team cup. This year the club has taken Kingsbarns on an exclusive use basis for two days to host this magical event Each four-man team consists of one invited Eden club member as a captain, and in turn, they will invite three guests to make up their team.

The team may include other members and / or non-member guests. players will compete off 75% of their current handicap. With italy defending the trophy, this hugely popular format of 5 nine-hole matches plus a sudden death play-off for the top 5 teams, played out over four holes via alternate shot under match play creates pressure seldom experienced in amateur golf.

Your package includes a practice round on one the local courses plus five nine-hole matches and the sudden death play off – if you make it that far! The welcome reception and annual barbeque on the terrace at pittormie are two special nights in the year – so get your partners and book your places fast!

The World team cup: st andrews, scotland: 16th-17th June 2011


The west of ireland is an enchanting and atmospheric place with truly outstanding golf, beautiful towns and villages, long stretches of stunning coastline, soaring sea cliffs, and craggy countryside that boasts a uniquely desolate beauty and a vibrant cultural heritage rich in tradition.

as part of our trip to play the best of West ireland we will also get the chance to experience much more than just the golf. 54-holes on doonbeg, ballybunion and lahinch, a few pints of guinness and a helicopter ride between courses and you’ll soon see why this has become one of the more popular trips to ireland.

based at the beautiful doonbeg resort this three-day trip to ireland offers members and guests a wonderful opportunity to enjoy the very best of ireland in a relaxed informal setting.

following on from our sell out success at beth page black in new York in august 2010 our 2011 father-son (parent-child) event will be held as the magnificent bandon dunes. There are few locations in america which possess four fantastic courses in close proximity. bandon dunes, pacific dunes, old mcdonald and pacific trails offer a contrasting array of outstanding golf. add the dramatic back drop of the pacific ocean pounding on to the beach to some amazing american links and you quickly see why bandon dunes has become one of the finest golfing destinations in north america.

48 fathers and sons (parents and children) will participate from august 1st to 4th 2011 - in order to make it easier to access bandon dunes the club will hire two private jets to fly directly in to bend in oregon. one will depart from new York and the other from los angeles. in addition to the competition we have three special nights of social activity. a father v sons scramble (where everyone plays), a father/son putting competition and finally a one club alternate shot knockout.

our annual gala dinner witness’s males members wearing local scottish formal dress (yes kilts) to our black-tie event where our evening’s entertainment is rounded off with a hilarious video revealing the habits and faults of those present. This fabulous three-day event witnesses 80 golfers competing off 75% of their handicap over 54-holes, for the honour of becoming the men’s and ladies’ founders champion.

This is much more than an event: it’s one of the finest golfing experiences on the golfing calendar! daily competitions for individual best scores and team events keep everyone in the hunt for all 54-holes!

The founders cup, st andrews: 2nd-5th october 2011


immediately after The founders cup, for those who want to indulge further in scotland’s finest golf destinations, we switch coasts to play the venues of the 2009 open (turnberry), and the 2004 open (royal troon).

This 36-hole member-guest tournament over two days brings to a close our scottish excursions for the year – and what better way to bringthe curtain down. tom Watson came so close on the 18th at turnberry last year and perhaps you too will put yourself in the same position for this west coast classic.

for those venturing on from the founders cup that’s four open venues in five days! The recently renovated turnberry hotel will act as our base for the few days we are in town so make sure you schedule this beautiful double whammy to round off the perfect autumnal trip to scotland!

The club’s couples cup is an annual three day event which moves from island to island each year. in november 2011 the couples cup moves to the beautiful island of nassau in the bahamas. This wonderful three day event involves three rounds (two on the ocean club and one on lyford Quay) played under best ball format and couples scramble.

Each day you will play two nine-hole matches with couples of similar handicap. This event is perfect for golfers of all levels as each flight is drawn depending on combined handicaps. a beach barbeque, a dinner and great night out in the atlantis (including some fun at the casino) and a wonderful dinner at the ocean club will make three spectacular evenings. for those wishing to attend with non-playing spouses a local playing partner can be provided, with activities for non playing spouses being organised during the day.

This two-day club competition is the most popular annual event in the events calendar. The magnificent riviera country club in pacific palisades, los angeles one of the finest courses in north america plays host to this international team event with 24 teams representing some of the finest clubs in the world.

Each four-man team consists of one invited Eden club member as a captain, and in turn, they will invite three guests to make up their team.

similar to The founders cup, this two-day 36-hole event provides an opportunity to playmonterey’s finest at the height of the season as the grand finale of individual events. billed as the club championship of america, members and guests compete over 36-holes atpebble beach and The preserve. additional golf is available upon request at a selection of the finest local private courses. This annual sojourn to america’s home of golf includes informal dining. it’s the perfect event for couples, or single gents bringing guests. based at the lodge at pebble beach we will enjoy two dinners together and a welcome cocktail reception.

This event is restricted to 40 participants.
