GENERAL INFORMATION Dates: 30 th of June to 8 th of July, 2015 Location: Daugirdiškės village, Lithuania Board and lodging: You will be hosted in the Training centre “Daugirdiškės“ www.daugirdiskes.lt Countries involved: Lithuania (5 participants), Latvia (5 participants), Romania (5 participants), UK (5 participants), Norway (5 participants). In total 25 participants. Profile of participant: has some experience facilitating / training, interested in youth participation, fluent in English, committed to stay in the #ASP Pool of trainers for at least 2 years after training. DESCRIPTION With this project we want to identify different challenges in the participating countries regarding methods of participation. Aim: The goal is to strengthen cooperation skills in the community and to connect participatory processes involving non-formal learning methods Objectives: 1. Strengthen competence of youth leaders and youth workers. 2. Develop a common understanding of sustainable participation practises. 3. Develop a manual on advanced sustainable participation (ASP). 4. Improve Individual youth work competence of participants and develop their skills in mentoring; coaching, consulting and how to conduct good participation processes. 5. Share good practices from the participating countries on participation methods and developments and present best practices on different participation methodologies. 6. Better understanding of participation processes and build-up the confidence to use it. Quality partnership and strong educational team will ensure long term impact of this training course and will create pool of experts able to train on participation, facilitate cross-sectorial meetings, initiate policy-making debates and initiatives.
