    Description In order to facilitate the order processing and to reduce the effort for the technical clarification with ATB, the order processing has been expanded as follows: VIK Encoders Strip heater Corrosion protection (KS) ATB quotation number Certifications according to IECEx and GostR The following points have been changed: Ex identification adapted to the new Ex standards. For frequency inverter operation no longer fixed control ranges (similar to process

    regarding SEW Ex motors). Detailed description of the individual points: VIK

    The VIK design can be selected on the motor design "Color" tab in the configurator (SCE). The motors directly assembled to order by ATB are labeled VIK on the nameplate. The in-stock motors at SEW-EURODRIVE are equipped with an additional VIK label.

    Encoders The encoder selection process for ATB motors corresponds to the process for DR motors.

    Strip heater Optionally you can select the following designs for the additional "strip heater" feature: - Anti-condensation strip heater (low heating power) - Protection strip heater for temperatures below -20 C (high heating power)

    Corrosion protection (KS) KS is now also available for stand-alone motors.

    ATB quotation number In order to improve the communication between SEW-EURODRIVE and ATB, you can enter the ATB quotation number (if available) under "Quotation number" on the "Additional texts" tab in the configurator (SCE). This number is displayed on the ATB order forms only, not on our order confirmation for the customer.

    Certification Apart from ATEX, ATB motors are also certified according to IECEx and GostR. Those certifications are available under "Certification" on the "Documentation" tab in the configurator (SCE). ATEX remains the default electrical directive.

    Ex identification The Ex identification has been adapted to the standard specifications (EEx to Ex). This does not affect the motor technology.

    Frequency inverter operation So far, you always had to select a certain control range for the motors. In future, you select a blanket frequency inverter operation on the "FI operation" tab in the configurator (SCE). The motors will be equipped with an additional nameplate comprising the permitted maximum speed and torque values. Those are the limits for continuous operation.

    The torque limit curves are attached to this information. If the customer requires a marking with a fixed control range, you can make an according entry on the "Additional texts" tab in the configurator (SCE). Thus the motor will be equipped with a nameplate specifying the desired control range.

    Sales release and schedule The flameproof ATB AC motors have already been released for sale. The order processing has been expanded since April 01, 2010.

    Order processing For EURODRIVES with CRM and R/3 connection:

    All designs listed in this sales information can now be selected via the configurator. For all other EURODRIVEs:

    All designs listed in this sales information will be available with the SCE box update.
