CREATING SPACE2014 marks the second year in our three-year congregational initiative called “Creating Space.” The primary purpose of this effort is to challenge and equip us to make ourselves available for God to use in powerful ways. To help us become more intentional about achieving this purpose, we are actively pursuing three missional movements: Go, Connect, and Embrace. We are called to “GO” into the world with the gospel. We desire to “CONNECT” with our neighbors so we can ultimately connect them to Christ. We are challenged to look outside of ourselves and “EMBRACE” guests who come our way. Let’s make ourselves available to God in 2014 and allow Him to work in and through us to do amazing things!

God continues to do remarkable things through us as we make ourselves available to Him and strive to live according to His word. In genuine humility and with a great sense of responsibility, we partner with God in His transformative work in this world. As we continue to “create space” for God to work in and through us in 2014, we renew our commitment to GO, CONNECT, and EMBRACE.
GO – God calls us, empowers us, and equips us to take the Good News of Jesus Christ into the world. Going often requires leaving our comfort zones so we can venture into places and encounter people who desperately need the Gospel.
CONNECT – Developing a missional mindset enables us to look outside of ourselves and be more aware of our neighbors. God continually puts us in situations to connect with people in our community, and we want to allow God to use us to ultimately connect others to Him through Christ.
EMBRACE – It is our genuine desire that everyone feel at home among us and that guests understand the tremendous value they have in God’s eyes. We want to greet and embrace others with the love of Christ.
May we continue to create space in our lives for God to do amazing things!
