Edmond church of Christ. His maternal grandfather, John Harrel, helped organize the congregation in 1922 and served as its first preacher and minister. His father, I.V. Ashby, was one of Edmond’s first song-leaders, deacons and elders.

Dean was a product the Edmond public school system. He worked for many years with his father at Ashby House Movers and then founded Ashby Industries, Inc. He held several US patents for his

inventions. He is survived by his wife, Estalita, their children, Terral, Hal and Julie, and their grandchildren.

ATTENDANCE REPORT: September 14, 2014

The first disciples were motivated by love. Paul says, For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died. Today, that same compelling desire moves us to connect with our community, with a goal of connecting our community to Christ. We have referred to it as “Mission Edmond.” Jesus’ instruction to the apostle was to start at home and go to the ends of the earth.

We spread the aroma of Christ throughout our community with the same passion we do in other parts of the world. This fall break effort (Oct.16-18) will be a “pilot ministry” that we pray will ignite an expanded effort in 2015. As we take care of one another and our neighbors, that good aroma will irresistibly draw people to the unselfish life in Christ. Our interaction with church family and neighbors will make Christian love visible.

We are asking you to come alongside one another to make an impact for Christ. Plans are developing and we will need your help in many areas. Please register online or call the office before Oct. 6. Make a lasting memory as we take Christ’s mission deeper into our community here in Edmond.
