God was glorified at Luminares Campamento Biblico in Nicaragua on Jan.12-16. Led by six missionaries and 10 members of this congregation, over 75 young people attended. We held daily Bible study, praise time and evening worship in addition to sports, crafts, and other activities.

New relationships were established and everyone left blessed and excited to spread the light of Christ. With this camp, plus the summer trip, God is using the Edmond Church of Christ to help grow the next generation of Nicaraguan Christians!

Let me take a moment to tell you about our young adult classes. The Pathfinders, Seekers, and LIGHT classes provide great opportunities to build relationships, most importantly with God, but with other young adults as well. The Pathfinders primarily consist of young adults, married or single, between the ages of 26-34, the LIGHT class is comprised of young married couples, while the Seekers class is geared toward those 22-25, married or single. The Pathfinders meet in room 228, the LIGHT in 218, and the Seekers in 224.

These classes, along with other adult Bible classes, are studying Hebrews on Sunday mornings. These classes also meet on Wednesday at 7 pm to pray, study, and fellowship. Each Tuesday at 7 pm the Pathfinders meet in different homes for a Bible study and on Thursday nights, the Seekers meet together for a Bible study. Beyond these activities, each group has numerous other events on a regular basis.

You can find out more about our young adults ministry, which includes these three classes, by contacting me ([email protected] or 341-3353), or talking to Andy Dean, Mike Cain, or John Trotter; the three elders who work directly with our young adult classes.
