Thanks to our recycle-reuse efforts, these items are put to good use and benefit individuals and families who need them most

Comprenew is a nonprofit electronics recycler and refurbisherheadquartered in Grand Rapids, MI
The only non-profit in the world certified to the highest standards.
Serves corporations, municipalities, and residents across the state.
Approximately 50% of material is from corporations and 50% from residents.
Team consists of 50 employees, 45 Participants, and over 570 volunteers.
THE GLOBAL ELECTRONICS ISSUE
• In 2016, 44.7 million metric tons of e-waste were generated. This is an equivalent of almost 4,500 Eiffel towers. (Global E-Waste Monitor 2017)
• Old television sets as well as CRT (cathode ray tube) monitors contain approximately 4-8 pounds of lead.
• It takes 530 lbs of fossil fuel, 48 lbs of chemicals, and 1.5 tons of water to manufacture one computer and monitor, according to the Electronics TakeBack Coalition
