Make and Take: Rotating Compost Bin $35.00 FNFSR members or $45.00 non-members Thursday, April 28, 2011 6:00-8:30 pm Natural Art Garden Center, 27358 Old Valley Pike, Toms Brook, VA No experience necessary for this workshop where you will build your own rotating compost bin using a large recycled barrel and a wooden stand. All hardware, tools, supplies and instructions will be supplied to help you build a backyard compost bin that you can take home and use the same day. Composting helps you save money by making your own organic garden fertilizer and it is part of the three R’s of recycling: reducing, reusing and recycling kitchen and yard waste; and best of all it keeps waste out of the landfills. 12 and up may attend. Those under 18 should have a parent or guardian present. More than one person or a family can attend at one cost if they are working on the same Compost Bin.
