Picture a Thanksgiving

“feast” with a huge

roasted turkey, mashed

potatoes and all the

traditional fixings. There

are undoubtedly lots of

delicious items to choose

from. You can pile a little

bit of everything on your plate, or you may

pass on the stuffing and cornbread. The

choice is yours.

The Club’s calendar is also your “feast.” As

you will see in this issue of the newsletter,

there is a host of new and standard activities

to choose from to make your mouth water.

We aren’t swapping out pumpkin pie for

cranberry; we’re just adding a little nutmeg to

the recipe. The ever popular activities such

as Martini Madness, Kids Klub and Sunday

brunch are still available. They will be joined

by live entertainment on the terrace on

Friday nights; Ladies Chip & Sip golf clinic

for our working Members; and a newly

expanded Junior Academy for our young

golfers. You’ll want to try the new programs

that are often a variation of something you

already like!

Along with the long list of activities to

choose from, you’ll notice many visible

improvements such as the new bar-tops in

the main Clubhouse and Men’s Grill, new

bunker sand and landscaping beds on the

course and the resurfaced tennis courts for

improved playing conditions.

We greatly look forward to seeing you

enjoying the Club this season and we look

forward to also introducing many new

Members to the Club. A new Member

recently told me that we are “doing everything

right” and he should have joined “5 years ago

because he would have been having a lot more

fun!” If you know of someone who needs a

place to relax and unwind, send them my

way! They’ll be sure to thank you once they

get a ‘taste’ of the Coral Ridge experience.

The 2011 Summer

Golf Camp was a great

success! CRCC instruc-

tors complimented the

classes by adding a

FUN curriculum. This

year the campers

learned the fundamen-

tals of the game

including skill chal-

lenges, weekly tests on rules and etiquette,

and a summer-long points challenge compe-

tition. Camp participants were treated to a

BBQ Pool Party and a gift at the end of a

successful and FUN summer camp.

New Landscape BedsWe hope you enjoy the newly added land-

scape beds throughout the course. These

areas can be found between holes 1 and 9, 10

and 18, 15 and 17. These areas have matured

since planting and therefore are in play, so no

relief without penalty.

Bunker Renovation &Overseeding

Jay Boring, Greens Super-intendent, and

his staff have been working diligently to

restore the bunkers by adding new sand,

which provides you with a more consistent

playing surface and improves the look of the

course.

The lush ‘green’ turf of last season will be

re-introduced this winter with overseeding

starting Monday, October 31. Rye grass will

be used for the rough. The process of over-

seeding involves extensive watering to ensure

the seed stays moist and germination begins.

Germination of a grass seed takes between

10 to 14 days; the golf course will resume its

fast playing surfaces and lower heights by

November 15. We appreciate your patience

during this overseeding.

Patriot Golf Days FundraiserA special thanks to all Members and staff

who participated in the Patriot Golf Days

Fundraiser in September. Your donations

Special event and holiday dining are popular events that sell out and require the purchase of special food and beverage prod-

ucts, equipment, entertainment, etc. Last minute un-replaced cancellations (including changes to the party number) are unfair

to those Members who are turned away due to full capacity and cause the Club to incur unnecessary expenses if the reserva-

tion is not replaced. As a result, the Club must exercise a firm enforcement of the special event and holiday dining policy.

Reservations for special events or holiday dining may be canceled with no penalty 72 hours or more prior to the event start-

time. If the reservation is canceled anytime in the 72 hours before the event start-time, then 100 percent of the event price

will be charged to the Member account. However, there will be no penalty if the canceled reservation is replaced by the Club

from the wait list or otherwise, but the Club is not obligated to do so. Thank you for your understanding and compliance.
