YOUR JUDGES

Heather Rose (Kavacanne) I first started showing dogs 17 years ago for a relative, and soon after my family bought our first GSP followed by my first GWP three years later. Along with my parents, brother and sister, I share an interest in the 'Kavacanne' affix and as a team, since winning our first CC in 2007, we have now won over 65 CC's and bred 7 UK Show Champions, including two GWP's. We have also bred 2 separate Championship Show Group Winners and won Best of Breed at Crufts on 2 occasions.

I have also handled a variety of other breeds to win at CC & Group level.

I took my first judging appointment for both GSP's & GWP's in 2007 and I am on the A3 list for GWP’s. I also judge numerous other Gundog Breeds. I am really excited for this appointment, and look forward to judging the society's 3rd Show.

Su Porter (Shearstone) My involvement in the world of dogs started at a very young age when in 1980 my parentspurchased a Golden Retriever and decided they would like to show him. Despite my youth Iwas encouraged to learn about all aspects of showing and handling. Our family hasenjoyed much success in the show ring, including campaigning a bitch to her title.

Since 1993 I have shared the 'Shearstone’ affix with my mum and we have jointly bred 8dogs with stud book numbers, including CC, RCC and JW winners. I have been judgingGoldens since 2001 and am currently on the Breed Councils A3 list.

I have always admired GSP’s and in 2003 purchased a dog puppy Jennaline Jock AhoyMackoy JW. Mac is very special to me and he is the first dog owned in my sole name. Hehad a successful career including obtaining his JW. A couple of years ago I purchased mysecond GSP, Valger Odin who was also shown, My first judging appointment in the breedwas 2007.

I was previously secretary of the South Western Gundog Club, and currently serve on thecommittee of the South Western Golden Retriever Club, often representing them at BreedCouncil.

I feel highly honoured to have been asked to judge at this society and am really lookingforward to the occasion._________________________________________________________________________

If you would like to be included on our judging list please download an applicationform from and our website and send to the Secretary Mr Adam Rose.
