Being Responsible
Principal’s messageWhere has the term gone! We have 4 weeks left and it’s going to be a busy end to the term, starting with 3 Way Interviews which began this week. Thank you to all parents who have booked in to see their child’s teacher, we value your time and commitment in working together to support your child’s growth and development.
Good luck to our PSSA Cricket team, who are playing Cowra PS on Thursday and to our 19 swimmers who are representing our school at Friday’s Western Region trials. Go Canowindra!
A friendly reminder about supervision before school. There is no teacher on duty until 8.30am therefore students are not allowed on school grounds before this time. If you need to leave home earlier please organise care for your child before school. Once the new fence is installed students will not be able to enter the grounds before this time.
The school fence and new air-conditioning is still in the process of completion. There was a slight delay with materials for our school fence, however, this has been rectified and works have started again this week. The old air conditioners will be removed next week in readiness for the new units to be connected just in time for winter.
There are also several students wearing jewellery to school, including necklaces, rings and dangly earrings. These can become tangled in hair or caught in fingers whilst playing. The only jewellery allowed are stud or sleeper earrings.
Have a great week!

Class in Focus: Year 3
Year 3 have been working hard during writing lessons this term. We have been planning, composing, reviewing and publishing our writing. Our persuasive writing topic this week has been ‘Is it important for children to do homework every
night?’Year 3 have been very persuasive to convince the reader to believe their opinion is correct. EN2-2A plans, composes and reviews a range of texts that are more demanding in terms of topic, audience
and language
