MUSIC AND FUN AT CAISTOR BEER FESTIVAL The Caistor Lions Beer Festival has a line-up of 22 guest ales. The Festival will be held in Caistor’s South Street Park from 5:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m. on the evening of Friday 17 June and on the afternoon and evening of Saturday 18 June from 12:00 noon until 11:00 p.m. As would be expected, Lincolnshire brewers will be well represented with ales on offer from Tom Woods, Batemans, Horncastle Ales and Heckington’s 8 Sail Brewery. Out of fairness to the rest of the country, there will also be beers from the farthest reaches of England: Sheffield’s Abbeydale and Kelham Island breweries, Adnam’s from Suffolk, Bespoke from Gloucestershire and Dark Star from West Sussex. The Midlands will be represented by Titanic Brewery at Stoke-on-Trent, Lymestone Brewery at Stone, Derbyshire’s Thornbridge and Wolverhampton’s Marston’s breweries. Skinner’s Brewery from Cornwall, and Theakston’s from North Yorkshire will be there whilst Britain’s oldest brewer, Shepherd Neame from Kent will complete the line-up. A selection of lagers, ciders, wines and soft drinks will also be available, as will be hot and cold food throughout. To comply with licensing laws, an adult of 18 years or over must accompany all persons under the age of 16 and those fortunate enough to look younger than 25 years may be asked for proof of their age. Acceptable forms of proof will be a Pass I.D. Card with hologram, a photocard driving licence or a passport. Caistor and District Lions have for many years staged enormously popular events such as November’s Caistor Bonfire and the annual St George’s Day and Christmas concerts so there are high expectations for their first Beer Festival. As with all other events, money raised from the Festival will go towards funding local good causes so not only will the Festival be an opportunity to sample some of the country’s finest ales, it will help support the local branch of the world’s largest service organisation in the work that they do helping communities and needy individuals. There have been some late changes to the music line-up at the Caistor Lions Beer Festival at South Street Park, Caistor on Friday 17 and Saturday 18 June but, with some very talented musicians playing a wide variety of music, it promises to be a great two days of fun and entertainment with the added bonus of 22 of the nations finest ales on tap. 1 WEST LINDSEY PLANNING APPLICATIONS : https://www.west-lindsey.gov.uk/my-services/planning-and- building/view-applications-decisions-and-appeals/weekly- applications-list/ CAISTOR TOWN COUNCIL WEBSITE http://parishes.lincolnshire.gov.uk/Caistor/

Moon Raiders follow them and then it’s the turn of duo Sunny and Boo Boo. The Skiffs will perform into the evening to close the Festival. On Saturday afternoon, there will extra entertainment courtesy of the Tom Woods Beers Tug of War Contest. With cases of beer to be won, four teams have so far announced their intention to compete but more teams will be very welcome to enter the contest – late entrants may register on the day.Throughout both days, there will be face painting and a photo booth and, of course, food, ice cream and soft drinks will be available. Entry to the Beer Festival will cost £3:00 which will include a commemorative beer glass kindly sponsored by BSB Transport and Limagrain. Production of glasses or wristbands obtained on Friday will also secure admission on Saturday when the Festival opens at 12:00 noon.Caistor and District Lions are extremely grateful to The White Hart, The Roofing Company of Swallow and Caistor Lakes Leisure Park for their generous sponsorship of the infrastructure of the Beer Festival and to the many other local businesses for their kind sponsorship of casks of beer, without which there would be no Festival. Caistor Lions will donate all funds raised by the Festival to local good causes and it is the help and generosity of the business community that has made all this possible. For further information on this event and other Caistor and District Lions activities, see our Facebook page or contact Caistor Lions on 07908 182963 or by email to mailto:[email protected]

There's a fun activity evening for those aged under 14 years on Weds 15th June, starting at 7pm in Caistor Town Hall. Then there's a read-through of the script for those aged 14 years and upwards (no upper age limit!) on Friday 17th June, starting at 7:30pm.
