Which medium is right for your Small Business?

This is where your marketing strategy comes in, consider first:• Who is your audience? And where do they

hang out online? Offline?• How will you engage with your audience?

Where have you previously engaged successfully? Can you repeat?

Page 8: Bni presentation 3 17-14

• What is your value? (what do you provide to them that they can’t get anywhere else?)

• How will they find you? How will you get the word out?

• How much time do you have to dedicate to social media? What can you/will you outsource?

Things to remember…

• Go slow, social media takes time to build a following regardless of medium.

• Remember who your audience is• How will you entertain, educate or inform

them consistently?• It is better to not be on social media than to let

it die a slow and lonely death.

Professional Help (things to outsource)

• Blogging and or editing of posts• Design Work/Branding• Social Media Engagement/Posting• Time is $$$• Choose wisely whom you outsource to.

– Will they represent your company the way you would?– Are they willing to learn about your company and common

practices?– Can they write in your voice?– Do you trust them with customer engagement?– Are you willing to initially invest in someone to ensure success?
