teachers candidates

Instructions for Testing Candidates

• Candidates should go to www.languagetesting.com • Click on “sign in” • Follow the menu from there to take their test. • Select the “State Teacher Application,” • Click on “Paterson NJ Teacher Candidates” to

register for their tests. This will assure that your test results are logged into the PPS account and accessible to us on our client site.

Please note:If you miss the OPI appointment it will result in a $55 fee.

In the event you need to cancel an appointment, you must contact the help desk at least 24 hours prior to the

scheduled start time of the test to avoid any fees.

Bilingual/ESL Certification

• If you are seeking a Bilingual Certification you must take the OPI/WPT in English and the other language.

• If you have a diploma from another country that may serve as evidence of your proficiency in that language.

• If you are seeking an ESL certification then you will need to take the OPI/WPT in English
