Sunday School Teachers Needed! - We are still in need of volunteers to lead a Sunday School class this fall. Curriculum is written and sent to you and all you have to do is follow the lesson. Monday Moms & Dads - Join us as we continue our study on Matthew’s Message: Good News for the New Millennium by Grace Imathiu. This group meets weekly on Monday mornings from 10:00 - 11:30 a.m. Professional childcare is offered at no charge with pre-registration. Thursday Morning Bible Study: Knowing Jesus Through the Gospels. Thursday Morning Bible Study this year will study the Gospels. We will cover the literary style, why and how they were written, and the different context and focus of each as we read through and discuss the Gospels. This is a video-aided study suitable for beginners and regular readers, facilitated by Rev. George Smoot. Thursday mornings, 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. in the Adult Room, beginning September 13.

Singles at Dayspring - Singles, Etc. Lunches - Each Sunday after the second service, those who want to go out for lunch as a group meet at the restaurant listed below. If you attend first service, please join us! We gather around noon under the name “Dayspring”. August 19 -

Brown Bag Lunch - Come join us for Brown Bag Lunch every Tuesday at noon. Bring your own lunch and socialize with people from the church. We always have a good time. Come and be a part of this fun group.

Connections is a Dayspring mission that advocates for the intrinsic worth of all persons, regardless of their sexual orientation. It offers support to and education about gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgendered persons and their families. It also hosts the Tempe PFLAG group meeting each first Friday of the month. Our clergy can provide names of “Connections” members for you to contact.

Koinonikos Schedule - The next deadline date for the newsletter is September 15 and will include events in the month of October.

Pillow Talk Dayspring Children’s Ministries invites children grades 3-6 to attend Pillow Talk on September 14-15. We’ll explore our Bibles, fellowship, eat pizza, and spend the night at church. The cost is $20 per child ($10 for additional children in the same family) to cover the cost of pizza, breakfast, and materials. Registration forms are available in the church office. Labor Day All-Church Campout We have a few spaces left! Stop by Fellowship Hall to register for the Labor Day Campout, Aug. 31 - Sept. 3.
