The General government budget217.4 . overall balance surplus was 217.4 bln.togrogs. 757.1 Current revenue of General Government, 467.2 amounted to 757.1 bln.togrogs and current, 289.9 expenditure 467.2 bln.togrogs. The budget . current balance was a surplus 289.9bln.togrogs. Compared with the same period of 51.9 , previous year, tax revenue increased by 51.9 27.6 , percent, taxes on foreign trade increased by 23.0 , 27.6 percent, value added tax increased by 31.8 31.8 percent and excise tax increased by.23.0 percent. , The shares of current expenditure and capital expenditure in the total expenditure 85.8 , 10.4and net lending amounted to 85.8 percent, 3.9 and 10.4 percent, which increased by 5.7 points and 3.1 points compared with the same 5.7period of the previous year, respectively. Balance of payments Current account 2006 Current account surplus of balance of 2- 73.2 .payments equaled 73.2 mln. US dollars in the second quarter of 2006, which was increased105.5 . . by 105.5 mln.US dollars. Current account 33.9 surplus was mainly due to trade and service . balance surplus of trade account surplus reached to 33.9 mln. US dollars. The gold. and copper price increase in the world market resulted in surplus of trade account. , . Services 2006 2-Services account surplus equaled 5.4 5.4 .mln.US dollars second quarter of 2006. From .dividends distributed by joint companies 16.4 mln. US dollars were transferred to foreign16.4 . countries, and interest payments of, Government and private sector loans of 4.0 mln. US dollars were made. These transfers 4.0 . influenced the positive result of current account. . Capital and Financial account 2006 Capital and financial account surplus2- 38.3 . equaled to 38.3 mln. In the first 8 months of 2006, production of2006 8 ( industry (at current prices) on 1324.8) 1324.8 bln.togrogs sold at domestic and foreign , market. . , Household income and expenditure survey , 2006 A total of 2808 households were2 surveyed for the 2nd quarter of 2006 in , 21 2808 Ulaanbaatar city and 21 aimags. . According to survey report of the 2nd 2006 2 quarter of 2006 a household monthly 255.4 average monetary expenditure was 255.4 thousand togrogs. Household monthly65.4 .monetary expenditure increased by 65.4percent compared to the same period ofthe previous year. Household monthly average monetary 170.1 income was 170.1 thousand togrogs. 4.9 Household monthly average monetary . income increased by 4.9 percent comparedto the same period of the previous year. 13 14. Agriculture 2006 9 As the 1st of September, 2006, total 1- 5841.7 ,amount of 5841.7 tones potatoes and 5797.85797.8 , 416.7 tones vegetables were harvested. Transport 2006 8 For the first 8 months of 2006, 9.89.8 . , 2.9 mln.tons of freight and 2.9 mln.passengers (duplicated) were carried by railway 0.3 transport. Absolute air +39.0 temperature reached +39.0OC in Shinejinst, soum, Bayankhongor aimag, whereas -5.0OC in Renchinlkhumbe soum, Khovsgol aimag.-5.0 . 2006 Concentration of nitrogen dioxide 8 exceeded from the maximum allowable 4 21 , 13- 9concentration of air quality standard by 21 times around the west crossroad as well as . 9 times in the 13rd microdistrict while concentration of sulphur dioxide exceeded once around the west crossroad of Ulaanbaatar city as of August, 2006. 13- 7- Compared with same period of the previous.year, the concentration of nitrogen dioxide has increased by 7 points in the 13rd microdistrict from the allowable air quality standard respectively. Disasters , National Emergency and Management2006 8 1889 Agency reveals that there were totally 18893627.6 , 163disasters of 3627.6 mln togrogs of loss , 747 , registered; 163 people died, 747 gers,, 14.5 .houses burnt and 14.5 thousand head livestock died as of the first 8 months of 2006. 122 , For the classification of the disasters, there1564 , , were 122 cases of forest fire, 1564 object 25, fire as well as cases of 25 rabies, 1 foot and 1, mouth disease and 16 anthrax registered.16 .
