Singles at Dayspring -Singles, Etc. Lunches - Each Sunday after the second service, those who want to go out for lunch as a group meet at the restaurant listed below. If you attend first service, please join us! We gather around noon under the name “Dayspring”. Aug. 8 - Crackers and Co. - 1285 E. Elliot Rd., between Priest and Hardy on the south side.

Family Promise - Dayspring will be hosting Family Promise beginning today thru Aug. 15. Help is needed with set-up, food items, cooking, spending the night, and clean up. Please see the sign-up table in Fellowship Hall this morning or feel free to contact Maria Hase at [email protected] or (480) 636-0963 with questions. Also, you are invited to a Magic Show on Monday, Aug. 9 from 7:00 - 8:00 p.m.

Volunteers Needed to help with UMOM homeless shelter dinners on the following Sundays: Aug. 15, Sept. 12 and 19, Oct. 10, 17 and 24 and Nov. 14 and 21. You would need to be at the center at 3:30 p.m. to help cook and would be done by shortly after 6:00 p.m. Please contact Carolyn Reid at [email protected] or (602) 882-5292 if you have any questions or would like to volunteer. Dayspring Preschool and Kindergarten - We still have some openings for the 2010-2011 school year. There is space available in the 3 year olds program and afternoon 4's. UMOM 5k Walk on September 25th at 7:30 a.m. Go to www.umom.org for more information or to register.

Golf Event - On Saturday, Sept. 11, United Methodist Men is sponsoring an All-Church Golf Event for men and women. Held at Ahwatukee Lakes Golf Course, the cost will be $45 per person and includes golf, cart and barbecue. Lots of prizes and other fun. Sign-up table will be in Fellowship Hall in August. United Methodist Men - The first UMM meeting of the fall will be Saturday, Oct. 2 at 8:00 a.m., beginning with breakfast in the Adult Room followed by a great program. Please plan to attend and bring a friend or neighbor!

UMM Fall Retreat - The Annual UMM Fall Retreat will be held at Mingus Mountain Camp Oct. 22-24. A great program is planned with a wonderful fellowship opportunity.
