    Introduction

    An antonym is a word with an opposite meaning to

    another word. For example, the word ‘ wet ’ is an

    antonym of the word ‘ dry ’. ‘ cold ’ and ‘ hot ’ are antonyms;

    so are ‘ small ’ and ‘ large ’. The antonym of the word

    ‘ good ’ is ‘ bad ’.

    At times there is more than one antonyms of a

    word. It all depends on the shade of meaning it conveys

    different antonyms of the word ‘ light ’ as given below:
