SEERAH PROJECT – QUIZ # 2

AREAS FOR QUESTIONS

Priority-wise following are the areas for questions:• Questions based on Lessons from the Battle

• Questions related to particular Sahabi’s significance in the Battle

• Questions related to facts and figures which carry significance with respect to Seerah

• Questions related to names, places etc.

RULES OF SESSION

• The Quiz shall involve 20-25 Questions based on Battle of Badr

• A coordinator will ask questions one by one, and the participants shall raise their hands if they know the answer. The coordinator will give chance, to answer, based on following priority:• Juniors will be given preference over seniors• Starting from the right, chance will be given to each person, until correct answer is

received.

• A person will receive a gift for answering correctly. Each person is liable for one gift only.

• Once a person answered a question correctly, others will be given preference over him, for next questions, to give chance to everyone.

• If no answer is received the coordinator himself will give the answer and will explain it.

• A person giving answer shall also explain the answer for better understanding of the participants.

QUESTION 1:

What is the popular name for day of Battle of Badr and Why is it so? Give at least two reasons.• Yaum-ul-furqan. • Separating right from wrong• Separating Iman from Kufr• Separating passiveness from engaging in defending and spreading Islam• Separating right and wrong people

QUESTION 2:

What is Mubaraza in context of a Battle?• One-on-One combat between three fighters from each

side.

QUESTION 3:

Who were involved in Mubaraza from Muslim army and who were involved from Quraish?• Hamza (RA) – Shayba Ibn Rabiah• Ubaidah Bin Al-Harith (RA) – Utba Ibn Rabiah• Ali (RA) – Waleed Ibn Utba
