Hitting the beach in Daytona Beach, Panama City, Cancun, Mexico or Kingston, Jamaica? Or snowboarding down the slopes in Colorado, Vermont or New Hampshire? Drinking yourself into a stupor or participating in risqué behaviors…?Fortunately for other more mature and responsible students, spring break means something totally different: social activism with some fun on the side!

YES, it its true and it can be done thanks to a new program called:

Getting “there from here” is somewhat of a challenge, but what is life without challenges? Besides, you’re college students!


Flying to Miami or Fort Lauderdale or from JFK can be accomplished using a number of different airlines…and this portion of your alternative spring break adventure will be the lion’s share of your expenses…this is because everything else will be very reasonably priced!If you fly from JFK it’s a 3hr 15 min direct flight…and if you go through South Florida, it’s only a hop-skip-and-a-jump to Port-au-Prince, just about one hour away…for example: AMERICAN AIRLINES flight #1291

This is where you come in…

Submit proposed dates for your specific group’s trip (Mon-Sat) along with any special requests/interests.

Sign up students or interested individuals in accordance with your contract.

Make group airline reservations to PAP via MIA/FLL/JFK

Receive official authorization to recruit

Met by Driver andTour Guide.

City Tour of Port-au-Prince and lunch.

Drive to Lodging location.Continue with weekly

What is all this going to cost me?…

--sign-up 9 or more students and your lodging and meals in Haiti are free!--sign-up 5 and you pay half the cost…or $125

As a campus recruiter…


5 nights lodging at $30/night pp = $150 for the entire week!

Airfare cost…*Cost for each person’s round trip

airfare = TBD (based on where you are flying from?)

Example: AA – JFK-PAP-JFK16 Mar 09 / 21 Mar 09 = $421.40

Lodging cost…

Meals cost… Breakfast - $5 x 5 = $25 Lunch - $5 x 5 = $25 Dinner - $10 x 5 = $50

Total for all meals = $100 for the entire week!

(Transportation to and from airport – all included)Each student pays $250 total in advance…plus tips & gratuities in Haiti as desired
