IT Networking Academy CISCO (Systems Engineering)
The Cisco IT Networking Academy and Microsoft IT Academy are nationally recognized programs that prepare students for successful careers in information technology fi elds such as computer network design and administration, hardware, software and network installation, local and wide-area network management, and systems engineering.
Students will be prepared to use decision-making and problem-solving techniques in the application of science, mathematics, communication, and social studies concepts to solve networking problems.
Academy Overview
The Academy of Information Technology prepares students to meet the demands of the 21st century with a rigorous academic curriculum, while exposing them to the varied career paths and opportunities available in the information technology industry.
Students are provided concentrated coursework in networking, computer science, web design, and interactive media production which prepares students for post secondary training and/or a career path in the information technology fi eld.
Programs of Study
The Academy of Information Technology features the following two programs of study:
IT Database Academy Oracle (Software Programming)
Students studying IT Database Academy Oracle (Software Programming) will be prepared for further study and careers in the fi eld of Computer Science and Software Programming.
Students will learn all aspects of computer science including: programming, hardware design, networks, graphics, databases and information retrieval, software design, programming languages, web development, and social issues (Internet security, privacy, and intellectual property.)
