center of the page in the water.3. Light the candle.4. Let the candle burn for about 1

minute.5. Swiftly invert the test tube over the lit

candle so the opening of the test tube is below the surface of the water but not touching the pan. Hold the test tube in place for a few minutes while you make observations.
