At the end you’ll be able to create your new imaginary BFF that will be at your side throughout all your business adventures!

The idea is to narrow your niche to one specific person that you can always use as a reference to see if your products, services, ads, promos, pins, posts, Instagrams... are all something your audience would like and want. It’s easier to envision one specific person so you can always ask: Will my BFF like this? Will it be useful to him/her? Is this only for my benefit? Etc... It may sound silly, but it is so so useful. To find your perfect niche, first you need to know what your passion is. You need to know what you’ll be happy doing! There’s no point in running a business and being your own boss if you’re gonna hate every minute of it. So first find your passion. Then find your talent and see where they intersect.

WHAT ARE YOU REALLY REALLY GOOD AT? WHAT’S YOUR TALENT?

WHAT TOPICS DO YOU HAVE INFINITE KNOWLEDGE IN?

WHAT FUELS YOU? WHAT DO YOU LOVE DOING THAT BRINGS YOU JOY?

NOW WHERE DOES YOUR TALENT + PASSION INTERSECT?

Phase One: Find Your Passion



Now that you’ve figured out where your passion and talent intersect, let’s narrow down who you are and what you will be the go-to hub for! Remember, establishing yourself as an expert on a certain topic is key to attract the right audience.

WHAT DO YOU WANT PEOPLE TO ASSOCIATE YOU WITH? For example: Exercise and Nutrition

WHAT DO YOU WANT PEOPLE TO RECOMMEND YOU FOR? For example: “There’s this blogger that has the best gluten-free recipes + easy exercise routines!”

WHAT DO YOU WANT TO BE THE GO-TO HUB FOR?For example: “I’m a health nut and offer exercise + nutrition on my site, so I want to be the go-to hub

for people looking to have a healthier lifestyle.”

Now that you’ve figured out where your passion and talent intersect, let’s narrow down who you are and what you will be the go-to hub for! Remember, establishing yourself as an expert on a certain topic is key to attract the right audience.

BASED ON YOUR TALENTS + PASSION, WHAT PROBLEMS CAN YOU SOLVE?List as much as you can try aiming for 10+ things!

WHAT IS THE MAIN TAKEAWAY THAT YOUR AUDIENCE WILL GET FROM YOUR SITE?For example: “This site is all about a healthy lifestyle, I’ll come back later for a recipe or two.”

Do a thorough analysis of competing sites, blogs, companies and mom + pop shops that kinda do what you’d love to do. Figure out where your opportunity lies to stand out in the crowd. Remember: Competition isn’t necessarily a bad thing. It’s kind of a weird validation that you’ve found a profitable niche.

FIND 3 DIFFERENT BUSINESSES THAT OFFER SIMILAR SERVICES/PRODUCTS TO YOURS Write out what makes them special/sets them apart.
