We welcome Fr. Ryan Alemão

as our new Associate Pastor from Merciful Redeemer Parish in Mississauga. Fr. Ryan was born in the United Arab Emirates to expatriate parents from Goa, India. When he was 17, the Alemão family immigrated to Canada and settled

in Ajax. Fr. Ryan completed a Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Toronto; it was during this time that he served for two years as a Student Campus Minister at the Newman Centre. While at the Newman Centre, he began to experience a faint call to the priesthood, but went on to work in the pharmaceutical industry after graduation. While working, the call grew stronger and Fr. Ryan eventually joined Serra House in 2009 to begin studies in philosophy. He continued studies in theology at St. Augustine's Seminary and was ordained a priest on May 13, 2017. Fr. Ryan's first assignment was as the associate pastor at Merciful Redeemer Parish in Mississauga. He is excited to begin his new assignment at Blessed Trinity.

Dear Blessed Trinity family,

Many thanks for your support over the years and especially for the wonderful First Mass and reception afterwards. I remember with fondness the ministry

of the late Deacon Richard Blake; I hope that I will be able to fill his very big shoes. However, with the help and guidance of our pastor, Fr Ed, and you, Blessed Trinity family, we can continue to work together to assist those in our parish and especially, those outside with the love of Jesus. May our God abundantly bless you all with His grace and joy.
