Like smoothies but don’t like the hassle? Here’s a list of 22 Simple Smoothie Recipes to get you going.

A couple of things before we start juicing it up.

Although these are simple recipes designed for you to easily prepare, you will need a heavy duty blenderand of course, a decent 8-inch chef’s knife to slice up stuff like carrots that will blend easier and thus savetime and protect said blender.

1. Pineapple, Coconut and Mango Smoothie

1 Ripe mango, cubed

1 Small banana

1/2 Cup coconut milk

4oz Pineapple pieces

1/2 Cup orange juice

Directions:

Add mango, banana and coconut to your blender. Process until fruit is pureed. Add coconut milk andorange juice and blend until the desired consistency is achieved.

Ingredients:

1/8 Cup milk

1/2 Cup plain yogurt

1 Whole banana

1/2 Cup frozen strawberries

Directions:

Put all the ingredients in a blender and process until smooth. Pour into glasses and serve.

Side Note: For non-dairy smoothies, substitute 1 cup rice milk for the milk and yogurt. Or, use soy yogurtor milk instead of dairy.

1 Large or 2 Medium beets, washed, ends removed and cut into wedges

2 Large carrots, peeled and cut into chunks

1 Large apple, cut into wedges, core removed

1-Inch piece of fresh ginger, peeled

Directions:

Add all the ingredients to your blender and blend until smooth enough to drink. Maybe through a straw, ifthat’s you thing.
