IELI WEEKLY MEMO IELI WEEKLY MEMO  Summer 2012 Week 7 & 8: July 16 27 Communicaon:  Level 6 (all secons) nal listening exam: Friday,  July 20 1:00  2:40 PM  Level 05 CM nal exams:  Tuesday,  July 24  L 0, 3, 5: 8:30  11:00 AM  L 1, 2, 4: 12:00  2:30 PM  Level 6 (all secons) nal reading exam:  Tuesday,  July 24 8:30  10:20 AM Wring:  Composi on nal exams: Thursday,  July 19 Regular  class me  Grammar nal exams: Monday,  July 23  L 0, 35: 8:30   10:30 AM  L 1, 2: 11:00 AM   1:00 PM  L 6.1: 8:10—9:50 AM  L 6.2: 10:10—11:50 AM IELI Graduaon   Friday,  July 27, at The Murchison  Performing  Arts Center.  Please arrive early.  Seang begins at 11:00 am. The ceremony  will  begin promptly  at 11:30 am, and refreshments  will be served aer the ceremony.  Remember to dress up for the special  occasion!  Aenon Level 6 Students:  Invitaons were sent out to Level 6 Wring classes.  You must return your invitaon to Amber in the Student  Counselor’s  oce (SYMR 214).  Graduang IELI students must arrive at 10:30 am in order to parcipate in the rehearsal  and ceremony.  Remember,  you will be on stage,  so dress nice. All Schedule  preferences  for the Fall I term must be submi ed by Friday,  July 27. You must submit your preference online;  the submission  form is on the IELI website in the Important  Resources box; click on Class Schedule Preference Form. Aer you complete  the online form, you must submit  documenta on, such as an ocial  work schedule,  your EIS class schedule,  or an ocial  leer from your child’s  school  or daycare.  You can bring your documenta on to the IELI Main Oce (SYMR 204).  Late request  will  not  be accepted,  so you should  submit  your  request  before the end  of  this term. Relax before your nals at the IELI Women’s  Group Pool  Party! When: Saturday,  July 21, from 1 pm  4 pm Where: Laura’s house (Alissa’s mom) This will  be a special  event for American and Internaonal women only to enjoy the pool,  sunshine,  food,  and friendship!  Sign up or talk to Karina (SYMR 214) if  you would like to  join the party.  If  you need a ride,  we will  provide transporta on to and from the party. There will also be space inside for a dance party, so bring your favorite music! Sorry boys, only girls are allowed.  Fall 1 tuion payment of  $2,920.00 is due by 3pm on Friday, July 27. If  you would like to sign up for a Payment Plan, you MUST go to Alissa in SYMR 205 to sign up for an installment agreement BEFORE July 27. Amber is looking for musicians to play or sing at the Summer Graduaon on July 27. If  you are interested, talk to Amber in SYMR 214 today. Wouldn’t you like to perform in the Murchison?

Example: A er taking a major exam, Karina wanted to know her score

immediately. She con nuously asked her teacher

for her score. Finally, her teacher got irritated and

said hold your horses and be pa ent. One week

later, Karina received her score.

If you use a locker in the Student Lounge, please remove your lock and

personal items before you leave. The lockers are for daily use only.

Amber and Karina will cut off all of the locks on Friday, July 27,

and clean out all of the lockers in prepara on for the new

Fall I students. Please have your locker cleaned out and

emp ed before Thursday, July 26.

Please return any overdue lab items to the lab or

you will not be able to get your grade report for

the Summer term.

Thursday, July 19, from 12 pm ‐1 pm, in SYMR 260. Take a break from studying and learn about the Muslim

Celebra on of Ramadan with IELI students. Amber needs some student volunteers to help plan this event. If you are interested in helping, talk to Amber today!

been contacted by Shana Savoie, the IELI Offi ce Manager,
