Charity events1. What was the most unforgettable event at this school?• The most unforgettable event in this school was one fair, which took place
10 years ago in 2005. Some of the money which was collected during the fair was sent to Luanda and some was spent on new benches for our school.
2. Are events planned ahead of time?• Charities are planned and set up according to the needs of the moment.
For example, Tsunami in Asia which was in 2005. Our school really helped financially the victims of the tragedy.
3. Have more and more students become involved in charity?• I think, a few years ago, more people willingly participated in helping others
than today.4 What events are being organized now?• Fields of Hope, Food Bank, charity food fairs (for a student suffering from cancer), gifts for a local senior home, donkey Radostek sponsorship.
The interview was conducted with Mrs Alice Siemińska
• We conducted a questionnaire on charities that take place in our school. The responses show that many students have heard of school’s charity events and in most cases have participated in them.
Drama Group Assunta The idea of the Drama Group was born when Jacek
Waszkiewicz entered a student meeting and said: “ Let do theater”. The name of the group was based on a famous
poem by C. K. Norwid entitled “Assunta”. Assunta was established in October 15 years ago. It has been around
from the beginning of our school, junior high. Mrs. Monika Rokicka, the group leader says: “There were moments when
I thought I had no longer the strength to keep the job running and wanted to give up. However, to my surprise it has never happened so far”. The group has their frequent meetings and rehearsals on each Friday in the classroom number 16 . A few years ago, the classroom was restored
and converted into a theater hall- like interior.
