Colour palette
Pink is still the key colour in our palette, however it is used in a much
more refined way than before. Grey also remains an important colour,
as this is the colour of a pencil line.
The primary palette is comprised of our main corporate colours and
they should appear on all our communications. Pink is the important
colour as it marks Beazley out as unique and using such a colour in the
corporate world makes us instantly recognisable. Turn to page 4.2 for
more details on how to use pink in Beazley communications.
The pink has been refreshed slightly to create more stand-out when it’s
being used. To create consistency across printed communications there
are different Pantone references for coated and uncoated papers.
Overleaf are some swatches of the pink on both coated and uncoated
paper. Use these as a guide when printing the main colours.
The supporting palette is there to do just that – support. A range of
colours are available that complement the pink and grey and
can be used on charts and diagrams.
There are some additional support colours for use on the website only
– these are detailed on the website page of the Applications section.

Typefaces
There are two typefaces available to use on Beazley communications.
BaskervilleBaskerville is a traditional serif typeface but is used in a contemporary wayto contrast with the illustrative nature of the Beazley line. This is themain typeface for Beazley and it should appear on all communications. It can be used in a variety of ways, from creating big impact to moresubtle statements. Flick through the pages of the brand book, corporatebrochure and within the pages of these guidelines for examples of howBaskerville can be used.
Franklin GothicRetained from the old Beazley identity. Franklin contrasts well withBaskerville and is legible at smaller sizes. Therefore it is used as asupporting typeface in body copy only. There are different weightsavailable to help add emphasis or highlighting throughout body copy.As a general rule anything below 12–14pt should be Franklin, foreverything above use Baskerville.
Web/screen fonts (Electronic and Template)As Baskerville and Franklin are not always available on the web or forPowerPoint, two system fonts are suggested for use instead.Baskerville = TimesFranklin = VerdanaThese fonts should only be used on screen where Baskerville and Franklinare not available.
