WorkPlace Bullying is the tendency of individuals or groups to show persistent aggressive or unreasonable behavior against an co-worker or a subordinate.

Madhu gets ostracized from the group for being a snob , so she puts her papers and gets relieved .

Survey. How does bullying affect an

employee’s motivation ? Not everyone are bothered . What should we , as individuals do if

we face bullying ???

37% employees report victims of bullying boss.

40% of bullies are women.

70% of their targets most of the time are women.

There are many other forms of workplace bullying .

•In this Case ,Madhu was ostracized by her co-workers , and humiliated by her boss.

Engage in extra role behaviors.

Increased absenteeism, poor morale .

They try harder to overcome difficulties.

Reduced efficiency , focus and enthusiasm & they quit the work like how madhu did .

They try hard but they don’t quit .

•Be an armor for yourself .

•Open communications with the top management.

•Have Cognizance of what’s happening around.

•Ignore the Bully.

Most Effective Strategies . Employee Engagement. Line of communication should be

open. Discourage comparisons. Inculcate emotional intelligence

amongst employees.

Factors Contributing -

•Using Power over someone who is weaker.

•To boost the Bully’s smug.

•Any person who seems to be different is made an easy target.

•People might also get bullied at if they are seen as a threat .

•The environment in which they are bought up , insecurities, influence of parents.

•Negative and stressful work environment.
