Letter from the President

Dear attendees,

On behalf of the Philadelphia Chapter of the Association of Latino Professionals for America (“ALPFA”), I thank you for being a part of the 2019 Women of ALPFA Symposium (“Women of ALPFA”). This event is part of a national platform to celebrate Latina

success and to provide valuable resources for further personal and professional development.

This year’s theme for Women of ALPFA is “Maximizing the Power of Relationships and Networks”. Today’s symposium will address how to maximize one’s network of colleagues, corporate leaders, entry level associates, external acquaintances, professional organizations, friends and family to create a pipeline for development & ultimately career advancement. Specifically, we will discuss strategies women can use to leverage their network to attain positions in leadership and how to recognize male allies who will support women in their career journeys. Additionally, we will address how men can become successful champions for women in the workplace and how doing so can benefit their careers.

I’m pleased to welcome our esteemed group of speakers and the presenters to not only address these topics, but also to share their own journeys toward career success through the power of relationships. I encourage you to interact with other attendees and presenters throughout the evening to make this an engaging and worthwhile event for all.

After Women of ALPFA, we hope you continue the conversation with the colleagues, peers, and mentors you meet today.

Lastly, if you have ideas for how to make next year’s event even better, we would love to hear from you. Once again, thank you for your support, and please enjoy the 2019 Women of ALPFA Symposium.

Sincerely,

Chad WorkmanALPFA Philadelphia PresidentChad WorkmanALPFA Philadelphia President
