    My ALPFA Story

My name is Alfredo Reynoso and I am honored to be your Special Event Coordinator for the Spring 2011

semester. When I think of ALPFA, the first thing that comes to mind is vision that it gives for you future. I went

to my first ALPFA meeting only as a requirement for the School of Accountings Passport to Success Program.

remember going with the hope of having a quick meeting to go home. I can tell you that as soon as I walked in I

had three members greet me and make me feel like I have been a long time friend, it automatically made me

want to be in the organization. Everyone I met extended a helping hand and has always supported me in any

decision I have made. I was amazed how approachable the entire executive board was and how there was a

sense of family within the whole organization.

Being part of ALPFA is like being part of a family. I joined with hopes to attend this amazing event everybody

talks about, ALPFA Convention. During this convention, I started to realize that there is so much more to

ALPFA than just a weekly meeting and exposure to firms. This is a nation wide family that will help develop a

network for any changes that might happen in your future. I have grown as a student, professional, and as aperson. I say to you get involved, get out of your comfort zone and become a better individual. ALPFA will help

you along the way and most importantly, dont forget to have FUN.

A&M was foundedin 1983 and is a leading provider of turnaround & restructuring, performance improvement, transactionadvisory, dispute analysis & forensics, and tax advisory services. Two representatives were at hand to
