Energy and GHG emissions
Renewable Energy - Pilot rooftop Solar PV installations at 3 Wipro campuses including use of solar
water heaters in guest blocks and cafeterias- resulted in resulted in
equivalent savings of 1.3 Mnunits of grid electricity.
2,088 virtual servers running on 147 physical servers. Energy
savings approximately 9 Million units annually.
India office space- emissions intensity (Scope 1 and Scope 2) is at 116 Kg Co2 eq. per Sq. Mt. per
annum,
A decrease of 10.8% from last year.The absolute Scope 1 and 2
emissions for 2015-16 has decreased by around 5%

Freshwater recycling and efficiency- The percentage of this recycled water as a percentage of freshwater extracted is around 52%.

Biodiversity
Electronic City campus, Bangalore: First phase of a unique Butterfly Park completed. Next phase includes an innovatively conceived wetland biodiversity zone that will use recycled water.
Pune Campuses: First phase of work on biodiversity Retrofit projects at our two campuses in Pune completed. This project envisages five thematic gardens – aesthetic and palm garden, spring garden, Ficus garden, spice and fruit garden. For one campus in Pune, the total number of native species has nearly trebled from 59 to 242

Wipro Cares
Wipro Cares is Wipro’s community initiative focused on certain key developmental
issues faced by underserved and underprivileged communities. It is a trust formed in
the year 2003 that seeks to work with communities proximate to Wipro’s centers of
operations. It also provides a platform to employees to meaningfully engage with
disadvantaged communities.
Wipro Cares:
• Education: More than 65,000 children benefited from the 16 education projects.
• Disability: 12 projects through which we are currently supporting the educational
and rehabilitative needs of over 2,500 underprivileged children with disabilities in
the cities of Bengaluru, Pune, Jaipur, Delhi, Chennai, Mumbai and Hyderabad.
• Primary Health care: Through two of our health care projects, covering 60
villages across Maharashtra & Nagaland we are providing more than30,000 people
access to primary health care.
• Environment: We are working on providing social and nutrition security to about
2,000 waste workers in Bangalore, through a solid waste management project.
Employee Volunteering- 7,703 employees (globally) engaged in voluntary activities
contributing to 14,434 hours in 2015-16.
