PAL XFEL Project Summary
Build 0.1 nm coherent X-ray source for Korean sci-entists.
Soft X-ray of 1 ~ 10 nm range is also covered.
10 GeV S-band normal-conducting electron linac and out-vacuum undulators are used to generate the coherent light.
Project Period: 2011~ 2014
Total cost: 400 Billion Won (~ 400 MUSD) 20 BWon for FY2011 45 BWon for FY2012 85 BWon for FY2013
Length of the building: 1,110 m
