with the Class of 2016 in November with information concerning graduation supplies, such as caps, gowns, announcements and memory books. Graduate Service Visit and will then take orders about two weeks later.

SAT: Aptitude test with math, critical reading, and writing

sections. Revised SAT begins in March 2016. Very few seniors

should need to test this late. ACT:

Achievement test with math, critical reading, science, and writing sections.

All seniors who were in 11th grade in NC took the ACT test in March 2015. Score reports were mailed to the home.

Students are not required to take both, but can if you choose. Schools will accept scores from either/both tests

The student must send scores to the college through their ACT or College Board account

Colleges will consider the higher of all scores they receive (superscoring).

Scholarships Generally for students who have good grades and

SAT/ACT scores, and have been active in school and/or community.

CHS maintains a listing for national, state and local scholarships. It is updated at least once/month. Access through CHS website.
