American Civics (1st Semester) Essentially, the study (application) of what it means to be an American citizen (through an examination of the American Government).

Why? an engaged and informed citizenry is crucial to the continuation of (and improvement upon) a participatory democracy that means YOU!

All Ninth Grade Honors/MYP students must complete a minimum of five-(5) hours of approved community service NO LATER THAN mid-January, 2013; written verification of these service hours will be required

A class presentation on your experience will be done in Jan. 2013

Info. Packet on Community Svc. will be distributed at move-up dayWorld Geography (2nd Semester) The study of the people, places, events, and trends that shape our world .

Essentially, a study of how the world is organized today and how it became organized in this fashion.
