include additional hours, tax and service charges.

DESTINATION WEDDING PRIVATE RETREAT

Make Shade your own private wedding retreat. This hotel buyout includes all 38 luxury rooms (38 on

Saturday plus 18 on either Friday or Sunday), a Skydeck rehearsal dinner, use of the Courtyard, Lounge

and Terrace for an afternoon or evening ceremony and reception, and brunch to conclude your ultimate

wedding celebration. Your guests will have the run of the house and can enjoy private use of all Shade

facilities, including: the rooftop Skydeck, relaxation pool, complimentary beach cruising bicycles, free

access to Equinox fitness center, in-room spa services, beach breakfast, and complimentary wifi.

• Requirement to buy out hotel for Saturday wedding: book all 38 rooms on Saturday night,

18 rooms Friday night and 5 rooms Sunday night.

• Includes: All hotel Saturday night for your wedding, minimums waived for use of the Skydeck

Friday night, and private use of the Zinc Lounge for a farewell brunch Sunday morning.

EVENT TIMES

Daytime events are typically from 12 pm to 5 pm, and evening

events are from 5 pm to 10 pm on weekdays and

6 pm to 11pm on weekends. An additional hour can be

booked up to midnight for a fee of $1000 over and above

the minimum.

DEPOSITS

A 50% deposit is required in order to confirm your reservation

and hold your date. A second payment based on 50% of your

minimum spend is due 6 months prior to your event.

The estimated final balance is due 10 business days prior

to your event. Initial deposit is non-refundable.

PRICING

All food and beverage prices are based on current market value and are subject to change.

Final pricing will be confirmed 10 days prior to your event. A mandatory 22% service charge

and applicable sales tax will be apply.

PARKING

Self-parking is available for your guests in the underground metered parking structure.

Valet parking is available for $16 per vehicle.

GUEST ROOMS

Individual Rooms: A discounted rate will be offered to your guests for the weekend of your event. Contact your

Event Manager to make these arrangements. Complimentary overnight accommodation in a deluxe spa room

will be provided for the bridal couple on the wedding night with a ceremony package. (All rooms and prices are

subject to availability.)

Blocked Rooms: To guarantee your guests can stay at Shade, we offer you a special block rate.

We require a contract to hold your space. Please inquire for details.

Event Manager will be delighted to assist you with arrangements.

Extending from Zinc, our breezy, open-air Terrace is perfect for an intimate party. To insure your privacy, our luxuriously

casual brunch, or stylish baby shower. Whatever the occasion, the Zinc Terrace provides an atmosphere of elegant calm that

plates menu. Cool, hip, comfortable and inviting, relax in our neomodular designed Zinc Lounge. With perhaps the

longest bar in the South Bay, we offer a large selection of fine international wines by the glass. The food, the drinks,

the environment, the service – Zinc is an indulgence, a sensory experience. For ultimate entertainment, you can reserve

the entire Zinc Lounge and Terrace. Treat your guests to a night of delicious, tray passed hors d’oeuvres and tantalizing

Perched above the Courtyard, The Green Room is the perfect place for private events. This secluded space has multiple

personalities, and can tastefully accommodate a wide variety of uses.

For your meeting, we provide a wide range of business services to help ensure your function runs seamlessly. Seating can

be arranged for a formal boardroom setting, theatre-style lectures, or smaller workshop groups.

For your event, The Green Room becomes a welcoming reception space, a lavish private dressing room, an enchanting

"kids quarters" (with baby sitters upon request), or a cloistered rehearsal dinner venue.

WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE CEREMONY FEE? The ceremony includes soft drinks, a coffee station, cake

cutting service, tables, chairs, ivory linens, a coordinator on the day of your wedding to help you down the

aisle, and a Deluxe Spa Room for you and your fiancé to enjoy on your wedding night.

DO YOU CHARGE EXTRA FOR VEGETARIAN DISHES? No, we can offer any vegetarian dish of your choice.

WHAT IF WE WANT MORE THAN ONE DISH OPTION FOR OUR GUESTS? We are willing to do a

predetermined choice of two options plus a vegetarian dish for an extra $10 per person.

DOES SHADE HOTEL HAVE SECURITY? We ask that a minimum of 2 security guards are hired through

Shade at approximately $200 per guard for weddings and events using multiple spaces. One guard is

required for Skydeck events (rates depend on event hours).

WHAT ABOUT CHILDREN? Children age 12 and under are half price plus an additional $10 beverage charge.

We would be happy to create a favorite dish for the kids to enjoy.

DO ANY OF YOUR HOTEL ROOMS ACCOMMODATE FAMILIES? We have five suites which each feature a

king size bed, as well as a queen size sofa bed in a separate living space. Also, each of our first floor rooms

have a twin size Tempur-Pedic® day bed which can be made up for an extra guest upon request.

Roll away beds are available, as well.

WHAT IS THE MAXIMUM NUMBER YOU CAN ACCOMMODATE FOR A SIT DOWN DINNER? We can seat

168 comfortably, but we can get creative when it comes to group sizes — please ask us!

WHAT HAPPENS IF IT RAINS? If rain looks like a possibility, we will be happy to move your event inside. If

you prefer to take your chances outdoors, canopy rentals are available.

FAQS

ARE THERE ANY SMOKING HOTEL ROOMS AT SHADE? No, Shade is a non-smoking property, but guests

are welcome to smoke on their balconies. Smoking is also permitted on the Skydeck.

CAN WE USE AN OUTSIDE CATERER? Shade has it’s own kitchen and catering department. We take great

pride in crafting high-quality dishes for our events. We do not allow outside catering, but would be happy

to create any special dish you have in mind.

DOES SHADE OFFER KOSHER CATERING? Absolutely. We can Kosher our kitchen for any event.

CAN SHADE MAKE OUR WEDDING CAKE? Unfortunately, we do not make wedding cakes or cupcakes. We

do, however, offer many amazing desserts. Please feel free to look at our Preferred Vendors list for referrals.

HOW DO YOU CHARGE THE BAR? Shade only charges for drinks upon consumption and wine by the bottle

for events. We are happy to help you estimate this price for proposal purposes.

DO YOU OFFER VALET SERVICES? Yes, we offer valet services at $16/per car for events. You may host valet

services for your group or you can have your guests be individually responsible.

DOES A SHADE EVENT INCLUDE DECOR? We will gladly hang fabric, lanterns, or twinkle lights in the

Courtyard for a fee, just ask your event planner!

CAN YOU CLARIFY ROOM REQUIREMENTS? Courtyard early evening and evening events require that eight

rooms overlooking the Courtyard are booked. Events using a combination of the Courtyard and Zinc Lounge in

the evening require that fifteen rooms surrounding the Courtyard are booked. Shade offers a group rate that

is contingent on the time of year.

WHAT ARE THE SKYDECK LIMITATIONS? We require Shade approved DJs and the music cannot be louder

than 85 decibels. No glass or confetti is permitted. However, wax, wood, and ceramic vases are approved,

and we will supply heavy acrylic in place of glassware.
