1. Monitoring the H1N1 virus situation by following the guidance from the CDC, WHO, etc. = 70%
2. Educating employees on flu prevention measures = 63% 3. Developed an employee communication strategy related to the H1N1

Difference by organizational sector:• Privately owned for-profit organizations (64%) were more likely than
nonprofit organizations (47%) to report that the H1V1 epidemic had no negative impact on the overall business operations.
Differences by organization staff size:• Small-staff-sized organizations (68%) were more likely than large-staff-
sized organizations (41%) to report that the H1V1 epidemic had no negative impact on the overall business operations.
Difference by multinational workforce:Organizations with U.S.-based operations (59%) were more likely than multinational organizations (50%) to report the epidemic had no negative impact on the overall business operations.

Difference by organizational sector:Publicly owned for-profit organizations (82%), nonprofit organiza-tions (85%) and government entities (83%) were more likely than privately owned for-profit organizations (58%) to have a disaster preparedness plan in place.
Differences by organization staff size:Respondents from large- (89%) and medium-staff-sized organi-zations (70%) were more likely than those from small-staff-sized organizations (54%) to report their organization had a disaster preparedness plan.
