10-10-19: Organized ANGARU-SERP Mandal

level training program on Nutrigarden and

Backyard poultry at Kondapuram Mandal,

Nellore. Dr K.Vijayalakshmi, RA (Home

science) delivered lecture on importance of

balanced diet intake in daily life, how can be

benefited with improving the life style with

economic empowerment & quality of food intake

through nutria-garden and backyard poultry.

Mr. G. Narayana Swamy, SMS (Horticulture)

delivered lecture on Importance of nutrigaden,

how to prepare organic sprays to control pests and

uses of Nutrigarden. Mr. Harisadu, SMS

(Fisheries) delivered lecture on Importance, uses

of Poultry, types of birds and about vaccination.

40 members of SHG women‟s participated in the

programme.

13-10-2019: ODLC on “Terrace Gardening”:

KVK, Nellore, has conducted “ODLC on Terrace

Gardening” on 13-10-2019 to 47 enrolled

participants. The participants of the programme

were from Nellore dt. and Chittoor district Andhra

Pradesh State. Sri.G.Narayana Swamy, SMS

(Horticulture), Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Nellore,

explained to the participants about the Hydro

phonics, Methods of preparation of Botanical

extracts and Vertical farming systems. Dr.C.P.D.

Rajan, Rtd. Principal Scientist (Plant Protection)

explained about pest and disease management in

terrace farming vegetables, fruits and

Goaadharitha mishramaala tayaaree. In this class

vegetable seed kits were provided to the

registered participants.

22-10-19: Fertilizer Awareness Programme was conducted at Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Nellore on

22-10-19. Sri. Koti Reddy Farmer association leader attended the programme as chief guest and

Dr.P.Ratna Prasad, Principal Scientist (Soil Science) RARS Tirupati attended as resource person. 185

farmers and officials from state government and university attended programme. Programme was

inaugurated by chief guest and university officials. Live telecast of awareness programme on DD Kisan

(Addressed by Hon‟ble minister of agriculture and welfare was broadcasted at KVK. Principal Scientist

(Soil Science) RARS Tirupati delivered lecture on importance of soil testing soil health improvement

and crop nutrition. Dr. U. Vineetha, Sr. Scientist and head, ARS Nellore elaborated on integrated use of

fertilizer and manures for improving efficiency of nutrients. Advantages of integrating legume crops in

cropping systems/ crop planning by explained by Dr. P. Sujathamma, Sr. Scientist and head ARS

Podalakur. Dr. S M Muneendra Naidu delivered lecture on how to prepare high quality compost and

realize more profit. Videos on integrated nutrient management were shown to farmers and programme

was concluded KVK farm visit.

01-11-2019 & 02-11-19: Vigilance Awareness

Week Celebration: On the fifth day i.e.,

01.11.2019 Vigilance awareness week was

conducted at DKW College Nellore. Vigilance

commission OSD Venkataramulu gave a talk in

the morning assembly on „My vision - corruption

free India, the Programme Coordinator, Krishi

Vigyana Kendra Nellore spoke at length on the

need to have a control on the seven needs of a

human being which will reform an individual,

family, society and country at large and also

Integrity pledge was taken by ACB officers, KVK

Scientist Sri G Narayana Swamy, Dr M Pradeep

and also DKW students. At the end of the session

On the last day i.e. 02-11-2019 Vigilance

awareness week was conducted at VOWEL school

Nellore district and all the students took oath. Sri

G Narayana Swamy, Dr.M.Pradeep and

Dr K Vijaya Lakshmi (H.Sc.) participated in this

programme.

07-11-2019: Acharya N G Ranga Birthday celebration: Celebrated the Acharya N G Ranga

Birthday celebration on 07-11-2019 at KVK Nellore and Penuballi village.

08-11-19: Training program on Importance of

green leafy vegetables in women’s health:

Organized One day training program on Importance

of green leafy vegetables in women‟s health at

Devispeta, Nellore. Dr K.Vijayalakshmi,

RA(Homescience) delivered lecture on importance

of green leafy vegetables in women and children

health in daily life, how can be improve health with

intake of green leafy vegetables. Explained in detail

about to eradicate problems like iron deficiency

anaemia with every day intake of Green leafy

vegetables. 30 members of SHG women‟s were

participated in the programme.

19.11.2019 to 22.11.2019: SERP (Society for Elimination of Rural Poverty):

KVK, Nellore organized four days Master‟s Training Programme for FPO group leaders and farmers in

collaboration with SERP (Society for Elimination of Rural Poverty from 19.11.2019 to 22.11.2019. A

total of 30 farmers participated in the programme.

19.11.2019: Inauguration followed by pre-evaluation test was conducted on first day. Farmers were

trained on Soil sampling importance, reclamation of problematic soils, pests and diseases in paddy

identification and management By Scientists of ARS, Nellore

20-11.2019: Farmers were trained on Groundnut crop production and protection aspects by Scientist

from RARS, Tirupati and SMS (PP), KVK, Nellore. Good agricultural practices in citrus by SMS (Hort)

21.11.2019: Third day programme was conducted on Pulses (Blackgram, Greengram, and bengalgram)

production aspects and protection aspects by Scientists of ARS, Podalkur and Paddy crop production

aspects by Sr. Scientist (Agro.), ARS, Nellore

22.11.2019: Demonstrations on Trichocards, Weed cutter, Farm machinery, seed treatment in various

crops, Trichoderma FYM preparation, Agrometerology equipment were conducted along with Visit to

rice museum in ARS, Nellore. Training programme was closed with concluding remarks and post

evaluation.

23-11-19: SEMINAR ON ACID LIME

and yield, addressing the market challenges,

post-harvest management and quarantine issues

for exports.

24-11-2019: ODLC on “Terrace gardening”:

KVK, Nellore, has conducted “ODLC on Terrace

Gardening” on 24-11-2019 to 47 enrolled

participants. The participants of the programme

were from Nellore district and Chittoor district

Micro greens, hydro phonics, exhibits and

explained about the Bio fungicides and Bio

pesticides and Garden tools. Dr M Pradeep SMS

(PP) plant protection measures in Terrace

gardening vegetables. In this class explained to

participant‟s model question paper.

25-11-19: Video conference with Acid lime

growers through Whatsapp (New extension

08-12-19: ODLC on “Terrace Gardening”:

Examination was conducted for ODLC Terrace

gardening participants and also visited KVK

Terrace gardening demo unit.

15-12-19: Technical training programme for

VHAs: Sri.G.Narayana Swamy, SMS

(Horticulture), Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Nellore has

attended as Guest speaker at FTC, Nellore, there, I

have delivered lectures on Production and

Protection technology of Vegetable crops.

16-12-19: SWACCHATA PAKHWADA: Swacchata Pakhwada Programme was inaugurated and

Pledge by all teaching and Non teaching staff of KVK Nellore and also planting of plants in KVK

Premises.

19-12-19: Organized One day training program on

Importance of Nutrition in Health at Veguru,

Nellore. Dr K.Vijayalakshmi, RA (Home

science) delivered lecture on importance of

Nutrition in human health, how can be improve

health through proper balanced diet intake.

Explained in detail about Food guide pyramid and

how many times should take foods from each food

Group to prevent nutrient deficiency disorders. 40

members of School children‟s were participated in

the programme.

21.12.19: Conducted training Programme on

Rodent management in paddy in Vidavalur

Mandal a total of 55 farmers attended the

programme. Demonstration on bait preparation

and also the pests and disease management in

paddy crop were given.

21-12-19:- Organized One day training program on

Importance of Nutrition in Health at Devispeta,

Nellore. Dr. L.Uma Devi, Dean of Home Science,

ANGRAU, LAM, Guntur delivered lecture on

importance of Nutrition in human health, how can

be improve health through proper balanced diet

intake. Explained in detail about Food guide

pyramid and how many times should take foods

from each food Group to prevent nutrient

deficiency disorders. Dr. G. Lalitha Sivajyothi,

Programme coordinator, Dr. K. Vijayalakshmi,

RA (Home science), G.Narayana Swamy, SMS

(Horticulture) were participated in this

programme along with Dean Madam. 30 members

of SHG farm women‟s were participated in the

programme.

26.12.19: A Joint diagnostic field visit and on

farm meeting along with Agricultural department

officials was conducted in Paddy crop. Farmers

were given with optimum usage of fertilizers and

timely and ETL based plant protection measure in

several villages of Gudur subdivision.

27.12.19: Inaugural and first class on ODLC -

Mushroom training was conducted at KVK,

Nellore. A total of 32 farmers were enrolled in the

programme. Importance, categories, biology of

Mushrooms and cultivation of oyster mushrooms

were the topics covered in the first class.

Demonstration was also conducted on sterilization

on substrate and bedding.
