World Bible School Continues to Expand… The following is a report from our ministry vol-unteers in World Bible School and a summary of their 2016 report to the elders. Thank you for your support of the WBS work. During the 2016 year, 36 people were baptized to the glory of God as a result of the WBS study program. Baptisms occurred in South Africa, Zimbabwe, India, Uganda and the United States. There are two students currently awaiting contacts for baptism. An-other fifteen students from the Ghana school program were baptized. The school pro-gram involves 105 students from three Ghana schools that use the WBS Bible studies as part of their English language program. Sixteen students have completed the WBS Master Series and graduated. There are sev-en books in the series. A student must make minimum score of 70 on each test and an-swer the discussion questions before moving to the next level of study. Successful con-tact has occurred with a Pakistani student who requested fifty books for underground studies. Prayers are needed for their protection and safety. WBS involves technical support personnel, postal workers, Bible shipment coordinators, an artist to complete graduation certificates, Ghana school test graders as well as mem-bers to teach directly on the web or through postal services. 2017 is a great year to be-come involved in WBS! Please contact any of our staff, elders or check out the WBS workroom on the 2nd floor. Thank you for your support. We thank Campbell Street in continuing this good work and expanding their own World Bible School ministry. And we thank Don & Sharon for their work in expanding the kingdom here, in Jackson and all over the world through WBS. Youth News Hey Guys! Thank you to everyone who made the Sweetheart Banquet a success. We were so blessed by your service and

presence. We are thankful for all you do for us. Coffee House will be tonight at 7 pm at my house. This is a bible study, where we play games and fellowship. We will have

our age specific devos this week at 7 pm. MS girls’ devo at the Clarks’, HS girls’ devo will be at Anna Catherine Cowley’s house, and HS boys’ devo at my House will be a 7 pm this Tuesday. MS boys’ devo is looking for a teacher contact me if interested.

We will be having a service night this Wednesday Night. We will be going out in groups to purchase food for the food pan-try. Then if we have enough time we will be assembling those items into bags for the ministry. Everyone needs to bring $5 a piece for the project!

There is a Big/Little Day coming up! Mark your calendars 6th Graders and our Bigs for February 25th. Keep posted to the text message system for more details.

Jr. High Day and Sr. High Retreat are coming up. Jr. High Day is March 4th at the church and Sr. High Getaway will be at the Coxes farm on March 17th-19th. Both of these events will be mini retreats with minimal cost. In fact, all we are asking for is the cost of food. We will release this price closer to the retreats. Jr. High Day will last from 10 am-5 pm and include volleyball, Game show games, footrashketball, and so much more. Sr. High Day will be a normal retreat with a lot of time to relax with one another. I hope you will sign up and enjoy these events.

We are going to a Predators Game on April 1st @ 1 PM in Nashville. The tickets are $35 a person and include a $10 voucher towards food or merchandise. This event is for anyone who would like to go. We have a guaranteed 26 tickets, but could get more if enough people are interested. The money for this trip must be in by March 15th and no later.

What a Hurting Relationship Needs

By Louie Giglio Relationships are tricky. Are you the kind of person who’s able to have relationships that are meaningful and fulfilling and significant? I want to put out a big idea: The degree to which we receive what God has given to us determines the degree to which we are going to have mean-ingful and fulfilling relationships. Right now God wants to give amazing things into your life and there are two reasons why we don’t take what God wants to give us right now. (1) We don’t think we are worthy of God giving us amazing things in our lives. (2) We’ve been deceived into thinking what we have is better than what God wants us to give or receive. The degree to which you and I receive what God has given us—which is everything, by the way—and what He currently wants to give us—which is the unfolding of everything—is going to be the number one shaper of your ability to have meaningful and fulfilling relationships. The love of God trumps whatever else we have experienced in life. Read more at: http://annvoskamp.com/2017/02/the-key-that-all-our-hurting-relationships-need/
