Leicester is a hot-bed of vegetarian food! The city has over 30 vegetarian cafes, restaurants and shops. Due to the large Hindu and Sikh population in Leicester, many of the vegetarian restaurants are meat, fish and egg free, and all have vegan options. There are also numerous vegetarian-friendly and vegan-friendly cafes and restaurants across the city and county, a selection of which are listed here.

The restaurants are mostly located in the city centre and along Narborough Road and Belgrave Road, while the location of shops ranges across the city. This guide lists establishments across Leicestershire, including a new vegan café in Loughborough.
