Vacuum Symposium announces 2015 event details and a new website. The 6 th Vacuum Symposium will be held on the 14 th & 15 th October 2015 at the Ricoh Arena, a well-known venue in Coventry, the home of “The Wasps” and a multi-functional venue with impressive exhibition halls and conference rooms. The Symposium, run in association with the Vacuum Expo exhibition, is now in its 6 th year of conferences. The exhibition and sponsors fund the conference enabling the delegates to be able to attend the majority of meetings for free. The programmes are designed to allow plenty of time for visiting the exhibition, meeting with the commercial developers of new technologies and for networking with other attendees over coffee and during poster sessions. The Vacuum Symposium brings together leading scientists, invited speakers and users of vacuum technology who have a practical and extensive knowledge of vacuum technology with specific intention of sharing their knowledge, experience and ideas. The Symposium welcomes organisers and meetings from different groups around the UK. This year meetings include: “Emerging Technologies in Vacuum Science” “RGA12: Advances in Mass Spectrometry for RGA“Functional Thin Films” “TPW 2015: Technological Plasma Workshop” Key to the remit of the Vacuum Symposium is the delivery of Vacuum Training: Both theoretical and practical training courses in vacuum technology will be running ranging from Basic and Applications through to UHV and Leak Detection. The Vacuum Symposium organiser’s have built a new website which includes the event history and potential delegates can see the quality of the meetings that have been run in the past. Calls for potential speakers at several of the meetings are currently open, anyone wishing to take part in the event should visit the website to review the meetings and to decide if they wish to attend as a visitor or become more involved as a presenter.
