The 7th SymPoSium oN Vacuum baSed ScieNce aNd TechNology is organized under auspices of the Polish Vacuum Society and the German Vacuum Society in collaboration with the BalticNet PlasmaTec and the Society of Vacuum Coaters, to provide a forum for presentation and exchange of expertise and research results in the field of vacuum and plasma science. After already six successful meetings organized alternately in Poland and Germany the mission of the Symposium is to continue and foster cooperation within the plasma science community.

The Symposium topics will be addressed by invited talks of internationally recognized scientists. Contributed papers will be presented in oral or poster form. The Symposium language is English.

The 12th annual meeting of the german Vacuum Society – DVG is an event organized by DVG together with other national Vacuum Societies to stimulate mutual collaboration in the field of vacuum research and education.Already traditionally, the Rudolf-Jaeckel prize for outstanding achievements in the field of vacuum based sciences will be awarded.

iNduSTry exhibiTioNManufacturers and sales companies of equipment, products and materials related to all areas of vacuum based science, technology and applications are invited to participate in the Industry Exhibition. Institutions and organizations being engaged in the conference subjects are welcome to present their aims and activities.Exhibitors are encouraged to register on-line.

ProceediNgSContributed papers, accepted by the Scientific Committee, will be presented in oral or poster form. Authors of invited and contributed papers are encouraged to submit manuscripts which shall be published after peer review in the Journal of Physics – Conference Series by IOscience.
