Ms. Austin has been in the acquisition field for over eighteen years, commencing her career in the commercial sector and moving into the Government contracting market. Ms. Austin has performed in several roles, including Accounting, Logistics and Program Support before entering the Acquisition field. As a small business professional Ms. Austin has worked for APTIM, Harris, and Verizon and currently as the Small Business Program Manager at Engility. With over six years of management experience and leading four small business programs, she provides expert guidance to small and large businesses on growth and regulatory compliance.
Originally a Texas native, Ms. Austin relocated to VA in the 1980’s receiving her B.A. from Strayer University, Magna Cum Laude, with a concentration in Government Contracting. She is a certified Supplier Diversity Professional through the Alliance of Supplier Diversity of Professionals.
