Possible Solutions for Urban Migration

Urban Migration is big problem

for the world; it raises the population of

the city and reduces the food production.

50 years ago 70% of the population of

Earth lived in the country, and New

York was the only city with 10 million

of habitants. People who live in rural

areas go to city seeking for a better life.

This is alarming now days because 22

million of children in China have been left behind by their parents

in the rural area. By 2015 largest cities will have a country

development. A solution for this could be to generate more jobs in

rural areas, to give more economy to the people inside the

countries.

This also affects the amount of food provided to the city,

because most of the people that live in rural areas work in

agriculture, and they are going to the city so there are less farmers

and

less

production of food. This creates the change of traditional

agriculture to modern agriculture; this will enable the childhood to

engage in agriculture as the system will make farming more

interesting and generate more jobs. Establishing industries,

projects and businesses that will take people in the rural area to

work for them and make a better economy for the area. Making

schools, colleges and more institutions of high learning will

reduce the necessity of going to the city by reducing its

population. Also a good idea for making a good place to work is

making government departments, firms and financial institutions

that should be established to create branches in rural areas.

Another could be building recreational establishments such as

parks, pools, malls, etc. this will make the young people don’t

have the necessity for moving to the city.

We still have some time to do something against it but that

is part of our instincts .This costs

much money but the government

by doing that will not suffer future

economic problems or tragedies.

But doing almost the rural area as a

small city will make the food

production bigger and also will

encourage city people to go and live in rural areas.

Urban Migration Overview

Urban migration is when people from rural areas move to

the city. This has been affecting our society since a long time ago

but now with time, the movement from people of rural areas to the

city is increasing in big amounts. This is affecting our society, our

daily lives and our cities. First

of all the cities cannot hold so

many people, there are no

spaces for building so many

houses, because of this people

are building houses in places

where they aren’t allowed to

build and this houses are houses

that are not well

structured so they

might fall. Urban

migration also affects the city roads since the overpopulation

overcrowds them. This leads to traffic problems, car pollution and

human pollution. The ones that come from the rural areas are

more exposed to diseases since they are not used to the city

diseases but they also bring other diseases that the people from the

city are more exposed to. Thanks to this hospitals get

overcrowded and they can’t hold big amounts of patients so more

and more people start to get sick. Another thing that is affected by

this kind of migration is the jobs. When people from rural areas

come to the city there aren’t enough jobs for them so they don’t

get a job, this leads to poverty and each year more and more of the

population of the countries are becoming poor. The movement

from rural areas to urban areas has increased in big amounts

before there where people living in the rural areas and others in

the urban areas. Now a day’s 80% of the population of the U.S

live in urban areas. This is not only affecting the urban areas but it

is also affecting the rural areas of the country. When people from

the rural areas move to the city rural lands have no people to work

on them. This can leave a country with no food because if there is

no one to plant and harvest the food, food is not produced. If

rural- urban migration continues to increase this problem could

lead to other major problems like more poverty, hunger, war etc.

Now that you now more about urban migration you can see how

this has become a global issue and it is affecting our country, our

society and our daily life’s. If we don’t try to stop it now in a few

years this could cause major damages in our world.

Urban Migration Cause and Effect

Urban Migration is an issue that has affected the whole world in a very short period of time. Urban Migration is changing our daily life because people are moving from rural areas to the city causing a distortion in

society. This occurs mostly in Less Developed Countries such as Africa, Asia and Latin America. The movement of people to urban

cities is causing many positive and negative consequences. People move from rural areas due to natural disasters. Natural disasters affect people because due to floods and droughts it is very difficult to grow crops and develop agriculture. The conditions in rural areas are not the best ones. In some zones the climate is not the ideal to grow food and to take care of animals. Most of people go to the city in search of better conditions. Living in the rural areas might cause insecurity to people because people have the risk of dealing with war and political instability. Economy does not develop the best in rural areas, jobs are not very easy to find and most of it have to do with agriculture and the business has it seasons. Older people want the best for their kids and this is why they send them to search for better education. The lack of necessities such as water, roads, electricity in rural areas makes the urban migration bigger because a lot people want to have better opportunities. The

effects of urban migration are internationally known because this is a global issue that is affecting every one of us. It has different effects do to the country and the period of time. People that move into bigger cities need some time to adjust to new changes and this may cause negative effects on a child health. The overcrowding in cities occurs so fast that the governments do not have time to plan and accommodate people. Do the rural-urban migrations the best way to keep a stable economy is to make people pay higher rents. One negative effect from the migrations that occur in Less Developed Countries is that the more people there is, the higher the demand on cars, so this means there will be more traffic and more stressed people. Everything needs to be created to fill the necessities of more people every day. Urban-migration is one of the most important global issues in society because it keeps growing and each day it gets out of control and continues to affect our community and society.
