India Integrated Transport and Logistics Summit (IITLS) 3rd to 5th May 2017, New Delhi

India Integrated Transport & Logistics Summit (IITLS) 2017 was organized by the Ministry of Road Transport, Highways & Shipping (MoRTH) and National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) in collaboration with Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) and Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) from 3rd to 5th May 2017 in New Delhi. The Summit was attended by around 3000 delegates from India and abroad including stakeholders from road, rail, air & water modes of transportation and associated logistics.

Inaugural Session, IITLS 2017 at Vigyan Bhavan

Thirty-four MoUs amounting to around Rs 2 lakh crores were also signed in the summit between Government agencies, Government to Business and Business to Business. The summit provided an ideal platform for sectoral stakeholders including policymakers, public & private sector infrastructure developers, and global experts for understanding the various opportunities available in different segments of transport & logistics sector in India.

The three-day summit consisted of an exhibition organized by the Trade Fair Division of FICCI, conference seminars, live demonstrations, workshops and buyer-seller meets.

Railway Ministry Officials with Malaysian Delegates 5th June 2017, New Delhi

The Malaysian companies have expressed interest in being part of the Infrastructure projects in India, particularly station development projects of the Indian Railways. In view of this, FICCI had organized a preliminary meeting on 5th June 2017. The officials from the Ministry of Railways and Delegates from Malaysia held discussions and exchanged views regarding the station redevelopment projects in india.

Smart Railways Conclave 6th June 2017, New Delhi

Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) organized the ‘SMART Railways Conclave’ on 6th June 2017 in New Delhi to deliberate on topics related to modernization and expansion of railways in the country. The event focused on areas such as Smart Bullet Trains, Smart Railway Station via Railway Station Redevelopment, Smart safety solutions, Smart customer interaction & services, Smart Financing, and Smart Sustainability to enhance operational efficiency, safety and passenger comfort.

The SMART Railways Conclave brought together senior government officials and private sector players to have result-oriented brainstorming, insights & industry trends during the interactive sessions. The conclave was an overwhelming success which attracted over 300 representatives from India and overseas . The event was instrumental in highlighting the investment opportunities in Indian Railways and enhancing cooperation in transformation of the sector.

WINGS 2017 7th July 2017, New Delhi

The first edition of WINGS 2017 – “Sab Uden, Sab Juden”- Expanding Regional Connectivity was organized by the Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA) in collaboration with Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) on 7th July 2017 in New Delhi. The event saw participation of 28 States and Union Territories and 19 of them made presentations. The states emphasized on the incentives or special packages that they are willing to provide to the airlines other than the support offered by Government of India under RCS-UDAN.

INDIA PPP SUMMIT 2017 26th July 2017, New Delhi

The fifth edition of the India PPP Summit was jointly organized by FICCI and ICC India on 26th July 2017 at FICCI. The summit discussed critical issues on existing policy framework and regulations concerning PPPs, fostering partnerships to invigorate PPPs and innovative financing solutions. The event saw the participation of more than 250 people comprising Government officials, key policymakers, leading infrastructure developers, contractors, investors & financial institutions, legal experts and major financial institutions like World Bank, ADB, AIIB, IFC and IIFCL .

The India PPP summit 2017 consisted of three sessions focusing on various aspects of PPP in transport infrastructure. The first session provided an opportunity for the government officials to present Report Card for the PPP projects, review the existing PPP structure and share the initiatives that are going to be taken to build a strong PPP market. In the second session, the government officials and industry members had one to one discussion on the PPP scenario in the country while the third and the final session focused on means of innovative finance for infrastructure development.
