(Gene Dvornick, Jocelyn Godwin, Bill West) Researched documentation and answered questions regarding the bond reduction for

College Park Utility Construction Worked with KCI Technologies to update Town website with Downtown Development

District information including an online interactive map of properties within the designated district

Attended Sussex County Association of Towns dinner meeting (Gene Dvornick, Steve Hartstein, Rebecca Johnson-Dennis, Chris Lecates, Bob Holston, and Bill West). Guest speaker was Governor-elect Carney

Represented the Town of Georgetown during an independent review of the benefits and values the Downtown Delaware Program provides to Main Street affiliate members

grams:CoolandConnectedCommunitiesInitiative—leveragingbroadbandandWiFitech‐nologiesindowntownrevitalization,andthedesignationasaDowntownDevelopmentDis‐trict(DDD),whichbringsmanyincentivesprovidedbythestate,countyandlocalgovern‐ment.Thesearegreatthingsthatwillhaveapositiveimpactforourcommunityforyearsto

come.Andthisisjustthebeginning‐wehaveseveralmorebusinessesthataremakingplanstocometoGeorgetown!

AtthetimeofthisletterIhopetosaywehavestartedconstructionontheTownHallAnnex.Thefirstpartofthisprojectistheroof‐removingtheoldandinstallationofa

newroof.Oncethisiscompletednewwindowswillbeinstalledandwecanbeginworkontheinterior.WearehopingwithgoodweatherwewillbereadytomoveinbyOctober.

Wearelookingforoldphotosofthetowntodisplaywithinthebuilding.Ifyouhaveanyoftheseandwouldliketoprovidethemtothetownfordisplay,pleasecallTownHall.

WithyourhelptheTownHallAnnexwillreflectthehistoryofGeorgetown.

OncetheAnnexiscompleted,wewillbemovingforwardwiththeremodelingandrestorationofourpresentTownHall.ThisbuildingwillbecometheTownCouncilCham‐berswithstateoftheartaudioandvideoequipmentformeetings.

TheTownofGeorgetownisprivilegedtohaveSenatorBrianPettyjohnandRepre‐sentativeRuthBriggsKingrepresentingourcommunity.Theyhavehadaverypositiveim‐pactonlookingoutforthebestinterestofthetownandcommunity.Workingwiththemhasbeenveryrewarding.Theycontinuetoassistbyattendingmeetingswithdevelopers,

businessowners,DelDOTandseveralotherstateagenciestoexpeditetheprocessofopen‐ingabusinessintown.

OneofthemostimportantbenefitsprovidedbySenatorPettyjohnandRepresenta‐tiveBriggsKingisthemoniesforstreetrepair.TheCouncilandIareattemptingtopave

twostreetseveryyearthatareownedbytheTown.Justasareminder,DelDOTcontrolsallofEastandWestMarketStreet,alongwithallofNorthandSouthBedfordStreet.OneofourupcomingprojectsinvolvesBurgerKingDrive,apropertythatwaspreviouslyownedbyfivebusinessesbutwithmuchworkbythetown,hasnowbecomeourpropertysowecanmake

themuchneededimprovementsforthesafetyofourcommunity.
